phonebox method? does it still work.
 

hi anyone still useing the phonebox method? does it still work?

i got everythink else just stumped on phone verification.

also i have my mums number but not sure if i used it on one of my suspended account?

however i did use it on a new account couple of weeks ago and worked but used same ip so guess its a no no

i have a phonebox which is about 2 streets down, do they still work or can ebay tell its not in your road.

Hello, since i am the original author of the phonebox method, i can
state up to the 15th oct this method still works !! People are stating that
their mobile phones are not loud enough to get the verification number.

This is true, i use a N95 and it worked this morning for me (15th oct)

So yes it still works

i can get the nokia BUT how do i know every bozo in the immediate area isnt using same box and then their account gets suspended?

Because there is over 1 million pay phones in the uk.

This method is on about 3 forums. I would say no more than 1,000 people know of it.

Yes it defo 100% does! I have just done it and it works very well. Just walked to the phone box (Around 3-4 mins away) got the number of the phone box and then called the missus who then hit the call me now button. The payphone rang and asked me to press 6 and hey presto the code works!!

Also little tip regarding iPhones, On the bottom of them there are two perforated areas either side of the charger adapter at the bottom of the phone. If you on the left one use a small pin and push it through the wholes it will perforate the plastic membrane behind it and make your iPhone much louder to definatley allow the phone box method to work!

i have just tryed the phoen box and it didnt regdister the number 5 being pressed as it has no dial tone : (

just use another phone....
