Re: Halifax bank no good for stealth

Banks do not just shut down accounts from a mismatching name. There will be a lot more to it than that.

No, but James has a tad more common sense than you appear to show.

Your son must have just had a birthday too? In this post you wrote thus:

That bank account had certain requirements because it was given to a minor
(ie under 17 years). Used in the incorrect way means the bank takes action.

Read the fine print next time.

I use Halifax with no issues at all.

Are you allowed a PayPal account if you are under 18? Maybe that's why? Who knows.. but you're doing something wrong!

You mean your 6 paypals with bank accounts attached are limited and can not be used any more?

Blacklisted means something different, Hun.

That means the bank should never be considered as OK for stealth purposes.

A bank account attached to a permanently limited paypal may never be used again on paypal.

Re: Halifax bank no good for stealth

If currant accounts close the bank accounts down and then open them again in six months.

If you are smart add a couple of direct debits from your house make sure that paypal is not one of them. So remove it online or by phone.

Then go to another bank that you do not have and use the switching services who will close the other account down for you. If you added a couple of direct debits then most even pay you money for it. (sorry my greedy ways kicking in but others may like money who read this.)

I can understand most account sellers don't like me advertising that mismatched names can end up with bank accounts closed but its a fact of life

The fact of life is you talk rubbish.

In this incident, you abused the child's bank account.

Halifax was obliged by its own rules to close the account.

That, my friend, is the fact of life.

Dont try to insult the IQ of users here with your claims. This is happening because you are not using the known systems correctly.
