EU PayPal Receiving Limit

I may be late to the party on this, however a post may be useful to some. This seems for me that it has only changed in the last 24 hours. EU receiving limit is now been increased from £1900 per year to £2005.81.

This should now be standard on any account in the EU that is created with PayPal, just thought a lot of people would eventually notice it and question as to why.

2007/2008 was the last time this was increased from £1700.

It is based on €2500.

Strange that they have not rounded it off this time though. Maybe they are too busy with all the other bugs on their website

so as long as stay under the £1500 per year on each account that's fine if you don't want to submit docs?

The old limit was £1650. I cannot see it being any lower than that.

UPDATE: Looks like their conversion rate was slightly off - receiving limit is now £1998.39 per year

This is actually getting fun to watch as they work, trying to struggle with a fluctuating currency.

Funny how it never changed all through the banking cock up when all currencies started bouncing up and down like a yoyo.

Must just be setting it that is the problem and then getting confirmation from outside powers that it is right.

They launched an "upgrade" to the lift limits process last Friday. The "fluctuating" receiving limit has been caused as a result of the upgrade.

All webpages on the lift limits process now start: "history.paypal. . . . . "

a pal of mine with a none stealth ebay account did a limit lift request recently.

She had about 12 days to go before it reset to £1900 and she had still about £230 before she hit the current £1900 limt.

She requested a limit lift and it said they needed more details.
All her details and required info had been completed about 2 years ago and so nothing to provide. al boxes ticked.

time went by and after new limit started it showed a new paypal £1900 year.

She had an email from paypal asking to complete a survey.
She was honest without arse licking paypal but her answers were pro paypal just to be sensible.

She completed the survey and when she next logged on to paypal about 10 minutes later her limit had gone and now unlimited.

LOL Yes my thoughts too.. but it crossed my mind that before they lifted the limits they sent the survey and if it came back as anti paypal they may not lift them and by making everything positive they lifted limts. Basically my freind told paypal what they wanted to hear.
I suppose that doing good stealth is about knowing what ebay and paypal want to hear and providing it.

I've worked for a few big UK companies in my time but how paypal operates is just, well, baffling!!

I'm not sure whether paypal runs by either cock up or conspiracy for planning and operations ? but we'll need a photo finish to decide which one ?

I always recall the sketch of the monkeys in the paypal office...Always sounded about right to me.

Give them some time and they may come out with shakespeare like pros...What use that will be with selling, I have no idea. But at least we will have something to read when they are done.
