Default Royal Mail Severe delays

Has anyone noticed royal mail has been really delaying on their service? Some of my 1st class posts have taken up to 3 days and 2nd class has been worse.

Didn't think it would be this affected so soon before christmas. Just wanted to check if anyone else is having the same problem

Aye, same old story.

Midlands and that area is not clearing.

Southeast is lagging badly too.

Those are the only areas we use RoyalFail for items.

It's only a suggestion, but if you can, consider not selling this late next Christmas.
Try to control what harm could be done to your DSRs.

Well said greenie, been several posts last month about when longstanding forum members and some newer ones as well had realised long ago that the situation is always the same at this time of year, desperate buyers order things expecting to received them in the normal timeframe, when that is never going yo happen because of the amount of post being sent that simply overwhelms the postal service, anyone who is still selling now is going to find problems that will only get worse as this week goes on, anything not delivered by the weekend is potentially in big do do!

RM are being a bit slow, but to give them credit they are still faster than companies like Yodel and MyHermes at the moment who are taking about a week to even collect items for delivery.

And here I thought those companies were trying to purport themselves as better alternatives...

They have never done that.

They only ever offered cheaper rates.

And cheap is nasty.

My Herme won best courier last year.

Yodel failed again.

They have a business plan not easy to implement in the UK.

By making the price cheap they cut themselves down.

royal mail are very pricey over 1 kilo and even larger stuff
I only use them for large letters and special delivery if its over £100 and small size like a smart phone

Totally agree there.

Anything over 1kg other companies are better.

I rarely use RM for anything other than letters, large letters and special delivery these days
