Default banks question

so you have a Current Account & 1 Online Saver with the Same Bank

both have been used for 2 Separate Stealth Accounts within few months of one another

the Saver Rejected the DD / Current account was fine

Bank will have seen 2x Completely Different Names used for PP DD instruction on these already

both Stealth Accounts are now Limited

you can open another New Curr Acc with this same bank, but if you link it to a stealth again, and obv send the Direct Debit instruction.

aren't the Bank gonna get Suspicious at some point, as this will now be the 3rd Time they have seen this with another New/Different stealth name.....

and also the fact that you open another new Bank acc with them, no activity on it, then within say 1 week a paypal instruction goes through in different name...

I doubt you will have a problem, though this is the risk we all take.
One would persume that if your bank hasnt already noticed the name difference on last accounts then probably wont this time round.

If the current account and savers that were used for stealth and now limited PLUS they were only opened for this purpose, then why not close those accounts down. Hence making room for new ones :-)

Well people have posted that they have a number of accounts with the same bank so obviously it is possible to do that very thing successfully and the banks involved clearly just accept it, they are more interested in making money than anything else, they are not interested in how that money came to be in that account, only that it is there!

Is there a certain time frame between opening and closing bank accounts?

Yes this is the issue here in the UK you don't want to open to many bank accounts over a short time frame, maybe 1 every 4-6 months would be enough because every time we open one it is recorded on our credit files, best to err on the side of caution particularly if you are still in an age group where you might be taking out mortgages or loans

Well I've already well broken the 'open 1 in 6 mths' by a few...

I won't be needing a mortgage or any loans tho at anytime.

I certainly would not be rushing in account openings.

You do not know that .....yet.

What you do from the start is maintain good working relations with a bank.

You take thought and time to get accounts for stealth purposes.

EG, if it was me I would stay away from savers. I know they might get kicked back by paypal. Thus that paypal account could be flagged.

But if I stick to current and basic accounts, I have fewer issues.

that's one of the reasons for opening BASIC bank account and Savers Accounts.

You not credit checked as such.

Another Thing is ....The kind of transactions are Automated, no human involvement.

as long as Don't walk in to the Bank and draw attention to that account, you should be fine, note I said should be.

To O.P

Rather than OPEN another account get them to change one of the dead ones so you get a new card and number without suspicion.

as everyone else round here seems to say, You got to think out of the box.

Not sure it is that easy or even really possible to get a bank to 'change' the bank account number, so making it appear to be a new account instead of one that has already had transactions happening within it!

Quite agree RosieT. Asking that would raise suspision wouldnt it.

Far better to close that down completely if you only got it for stealth.
Then go back to the same back 3+ months later and reopen and get a fresh account number.
People close bank accounts all the time. Nothing wrong with doing that :-)

You're right, you can't simply change the account number, it needs closing and reopening to be issued a new one

For making new bank accounts, you should also spread out account creation - helps in the long run

Not all users are going to make multiple stealth accounts.

So that's no help.

Its really very easy , usually done in about 20 mins.

You just need a good reason for them to change it, that's where the box comes in .
