Any other recommend Prepay cards that I can use to verify my PayPal account? | 3V, Vanilla Gift Cards (in the UK are VISA Gift Cards found in supermarkets £25 / £50 in value) ... they're options. |

No I've been pi55ar5ing about with Entropay for over a week now I've tried five seprate verifications not one of them has worked. I've offered ID, Bank account detials, proof of address and they won't accept it looks like Visa gift cards it will have to be |
| Bunneh | 01-20-2015 09:45 AM | Re: Entropy are hopeless, any other Prepay Card? This seriously needs to be a sticky lol..
This is a common problem with entropay.
You need to ask the bank for the Payment Approval code / Authorisation Code.
Once you have this code you have to message entropay and tell them this is the payment approval code for the transaction and you will get the card restriction lifted/ Verification completed. |
| joffieJaffa | 01-20-2015 09:45 AM | Re: Entropy are hopeless, any other Prepay Card? just support a forum seller and buy them as you need
Wayyyyyyy less hassle by sounds of it. |

I've spoken to 3 different people at Barclays who know what I am asking for its just that the transaction doesn't have the code Entropay are asking for attached.
Also tried this with Lloyds and the answer is the same. Lloyds told me that they would only be able to see the code when the transaction was pending not when it had been fully debited. |

You need to tell them it is NOT the one on the bank statement, it is the code they are given when a payment is authorised. Its called an approval code which is a code WE cannot see only the bank does.
The customer service reps that answer the phones at the bank also will not see this, you have to be transferred to the correct department.
LLoyds transfered me to the collections department for mine lol.. |

I told Barclays it was the approval code as well during one of my phone calls to them, they still told me they didn't have anything, £1 had gone out of my account but that was all, it never went back in either! Thanks very much Entropay! |
| wired | 01-20-2015 11:19 AM | Re: Entropy are hopeless, any other Prepay Card? Had the same problem.
Barclaycard have a policy not to give you the code. They state this is to prevent fraud. You have to ask to speak to a supervisor, and claim that you have to have it otherwise you want to escalate it as a complaint.
The CS worked CAN see the code, but they wont give it to you as its a rule.
Once I kicked off a bit , I got the code under the advisory 'this one off time'
Also tell Entropay the problem and ask for the £1 refund, I got it. Then got the code from BC. |

Entropay stopped replying to my emails and that was the only way they could be contacted as they seemed to have done away with their customer service dept. |

but there is nothing they can do in essence till you get the code, or just demand the refund.
I had right fun and games with Barclaycard, but got there in the end. |

| steve70000 | 01-20-2015 02:39 PM | Re: Entropy are hopeless, any other Prepay Card? i have had the same prob with entropay since end of nov 14..
yourkshire bank, loyds,,both bank accounts no six digit code.
so they said send bank transfer..LMFAO...
yes i did £15 and the bank charged £9.50 for this and guess what still has not turned up in the entropay account..
need to look somewere else if i canot fund it... |
| johnquango | 01-20-2015 02:53 PM | Re: Entropy are hopeless, any other Prepay Card? you need to Tell your Bank / C.card provider when you call that its the 'authorisation code' not the Safelink code that you need
and as ooo.halo suggested, call them late at night, I did and got it right away, tho I used my C/card to top up my entropay, not Bank Acc
my authorisation code was '1 Letter + 5 Digits'
I assume its prob same format for All
when you get it, you must 'email' it directly to entro customer support Email |

Entropay have promised to refund me, so that option is closed. I'm not holding my breath for the refund though.
I'll try to get a voucher to top-up a 3V card from the corner shop....
If I pay cash for the voucher, does that mean there's no connection with my name and address and the 3V card? |

Ive blocked three shops now asking for £100 vouchers, and be told on the phone by 3V that I am a fraud risk low |

I bought one off here last week for £9.00 as my old one was due to expire

In trying to get my first voucher to activate a 3V VCC, I discovered the hard way that it's not as simple as walking into a corner shop displaying the "PayPoint" sign, you also need someone with an IQ in double digits to be working there…
I trudged around SIX shops in Crawley with a PayPoint sign and only met with blank looks…they seem surprised when I pointed to the sign was on the door and didn't know what it was for!
The local Co-Op eventually sold me a voucher, but only after spending 15 minutes denying they existed.
The actual verifying of the Voucher then adding it to Paypal was the easy bit, so be prepared for a lot of legwork if you choose to use this method.
I now have to resurrect an old Halifax Bank account by showing them photo ID and a recent utility bill. This is not as easy as it sounds because very few utilities send paper bills anymore..
If all this ever succeeds in allowing me to start selling on eBay again, it will be worth it, but it's been hard work… |
