Default Ebay dropping my listings to the back :( HELP PLEASE

Hi Guys , hope your all good.

I have been going slightly mad the last week:(

I had a product that i started selling a few weeks back.
I was selling it on my partners account as I have been using it to sell other items and it uses me pay pawl.

Started slow and then was up to about 4 or 5 a day, it was on the first page.
Then the listing ended. so i put another three different listings for the same item with veering prices. These where selling ok.

But I wanted a good till canceled listing. So i turned my ebay account into a shop and got an increase of 200 / 2500. All good sold two the next day .

For the last three days no sails on any accounts :(

Checked today and when i search for my listing on my new shop sight with the first three key words together its on the absolute last page at the bottom with nothing underneath. Its at the end.

I search on my gf's account and the listing that was on the first page at one point is at the bottom of page 16.

WTF is going on , my only guess is that ebaay / PP has linked my PP account to two different accounts selling the same thing as is not happy.

Please if anyone has any suggestions I would be so grateful .

Thanks for your time guys.

Wrighty

Time to look at your listings, check out your competitors, and revise your attack of your market niche. Without knowledge of your niche, specific recommendations are difficult to publish.

Or you will continually be beaten out - blunt but real

That's how the game works, sometimes your on the first page, sometimes you on the last page, nobody knows the exact algorithm, you can always try lowering the price or upload it on other accounts. good luck.

YES, of course they will have linked you if you are using 1paypal across different ebay accounts, you are on borrowed time, get making new accounts today with new, never used before paypals. Where have you been if you have not realised this until now!, you might have concentrating on those accounts, but in doing so in the way that you have, you have linked and doomed them. This is such a basic point of stealth as well, and you have mentioned it yourself now. No comeback from this, create or buy those new accounts ASAP.

PS no you cannot create or buy new Paypals to add to those accounts either, everything has to be new from the start, and you cannot list those items straight away, household type items to start, then gradually add in the odd one of those items, that you have taken new fresh photo's of and use a batch purifier to strip the metadata from with the photo's as well so they cannot link you a accross accounts.

You should read the book again. How long are you using 2 accounts with the same Paypal?

Hello guys , I'm referring to my non stealth accounts .
I have a few stealths going nicely , but I am selling a good safe product.
So I started on my partners account that is not stealth and then I am also using my account not stealth.
So it's all above board .

I know the Stealth Book very well and touch wood have a few accounts doing great . I just wanted to use my real account because I want to grow it and I won't have to rely on mail forwarding as hopefully I will be selling loads and when u sell more you tend to get more returns .

Sorry for the confusion if you though it was stealth.

I'm just at a loss at what to do .

Thanks for all the info guys and girls

Safe products or not wrighty you still linked thise accounts through the single paypal you have used on them and that is your main issue, it doesn't matter whether accounts in your real details or not, rules are still the same you have linked those accounts and they are doomed AND you have posted this same comment in two threads that's a no no as well, you won't get different replies by doing that!

???

confused at this coment.

There is nothing in ebay rules that say a household cant have two ebay accounts with the same paypal.
Mot everyone is using ebay as a stealth.
So how have i done anything wrong by having two ebay accounts , one shop and one personal??

( AND you have posted this same comment in two threads that's a no no as well, you won't get different replies by doing that!)

Hum think your confused there.
Im not shore what other post you are on about? Not very helpful.

I know stealth very well and I also know ebay. What I am doing is totally above board and am not breaking any of ebay paypals rules.

What I was wondering is if they dont like you having the same product on two ebay accounts. Its not against the rules but I was wondering if they just don't like it .

Thanks for all the help peeps

Just because he has several ebay accounts linked to one Paypal, it does not mean they are all doomed.

The accounts are linked to each other and if one goes, it is likely all will go down but having multiple ebay accounts to one Paypal is not against the rules.

Is there a reason you answer most questions with lots of exclamation marks?

Thank you Ebayorbust

If I wasn't as clued up about ebay and stealth I would be really worried by RosieTosie post.. Not helpful or correct information.

Aswell as (AND you have posted this same comment in two threads that's a no no as well) ... NO NO , I haven't posted this question before.

I think its a NO NO giving false doomed information.

Any way thanks Ebayorbust for confirming that it is perfectly ok to have two ebay accounts and one pay pal

Cheers

Theoretically you can have 7 to one paypal. But lets not go there.

Rosietosie, linking accounts is bad in relation to stealth. You want to keep accounts seperate. The reason being if one account gets suspended then all linked accounts may at some point be suspended. This is not guaranteed though.

With regards to your problem wrighty, these things can change very quickly. You may still be top when others search. Ebays search engine Cassini is a bit*h.

Come on wrighty you are not new on this forum like you say so you know as well as I do that the normal advice is not to have more than one ebay account attached to just one paypal, for the very reason that is mentioned on here, if one goes they all go and that is definate. There are new people arriving in this forum every day, the last thing they need to read about is attaching more than one ebay account to one paypal. If anything bad should happen yo your accounts through doing this as well you would to coin a phrase be crying over spilt milk to say the least.

I have been here for about 6 weeks.
There is nothing wrong with having multiple real accounts with same pay pal.
If the address is the same then I don't think linking pp accounts is going to do it any harm.

I think you misread / didn't read my post and just started realling of some pompous crap.

And then lied by saying I had posted this same comment in two threads.
Thats a no no in my book .

You have come across pretty poorly , i don't think i will be paying much attention to your posts in future, very miss informed.

Also please think before you post , don't go scaring new comers, Thanks.

I dont think it's related to your accounts per say but your setup of multiple eb to 1 pp can be rough on your limits...and the fact that are all linked...be careful if one goes, all may follow

Thanks rsot

Yep I am well aware that if one goes down.
The stuff I am selling is all above board so I don't see why one would, obviously it is possible but so are a lot of things.

I was just curious about the way my listings whent down a few days after I listed on another account.

I will try and find out.

Cheers

I'm not sure if I imagined this little fact... but I'm sure when I had 2 eBay accounts to 1 paypal account, I read that it's fine as long as you aren't selling the same product on both accounts.

Not sure if that is true, or even current, but it might have caused an issue.

Everything on eBay seems to be automated now, so it's possible that eBay bots picked up your method and didn't like, you'll probably never know for sure.

I sell on my genuine account, and sometimes popular products that sell daily in multiples can then drop off the face of the Earth and hardly sell for weeks at a time, it's very odd. I've found Amazon to be a lot more consistent compared to eBay.

Hello Geegee83

I think your right about the automation and bots , I don't think they like it.

I will be branching out to amazon in the next few weeks , Easter holidays !!
Looking forward to it

I started on Amazon last summer after years of just eBay only.

Wasn't sure what to expect and I actually didn't like it at first, but now it's my favourite and it's up to about 60% of my eBay takings now, so it's worked out well.

Good luck with it all!
