Defect % and removing defect

I've just looked at my defect % and it's gona slightly higher than I want it to be, but 3 item on the list are "items not received"
In reality I have submitted Tracking Number to both eBay and messages it to the customer. All customers have received all the items and they have long closed the cases, even left positive feedbacks.
Reasons why they opened the cases at first place were because the parcel took too long to arrive, but in all cases it was held in customs/depo for longer than usual and it's down to each country that I sent it to: Brazil, Romania and Russia.

If I'd get rid of those defect cases, my performance standed would be in good standing again.
If I phone eBay up and explain them the situation, are they likely to remove the defects manually so that my seller standard is back to positive or am I likely to get banned?

This is NOT a stealth account so I have no problems with any of the details or "other stuff" everything is legit and has been for couple of years now.

I'm just a bit sceptical when it comes to calling eBay because last time I got banned 3 weeks afterwards:fight:

Should I call, should I chat with them or should I just ignore it and wait for next evaluation date?
They dropped my listings from 100 to 75, that sucks:(

Re: Defect % and removing defect

I've heard that defects are near impossible to remove, so it's doubtful they will remove them as they will say "it's the customer's opinion".

Maybe change your expected shipping times for international delivery to cover your bases as they won't be able to open a case if the expected delivery time hasn't elapsed.

Re: Defect % and removing defect

I'm 95% sure that early last year in one of the seller updates, ebay said that all INR claims to Brazil and Russia (maybe china) would be written off. Due to their horrendous customs.

This may have been short term as I really can't remember details. You're best googling it.

Thanks.

I'm not going to change my shipping times because it's never down to me shipping- I always ship same day/next morning.
The situations that I'm talking about were extremes:
1. I shipped a parcel to Brazil on 8th of AUGUST and Customer received it in JANUARY- Tracking information showed that it's been waiting in depo for all that time. Customer himself said that it's "perfectly normal" for him to wait for stuff around 3-4 months.
2.Russia was the same. Shipped on 4th of December and it got there a week later, then sat in depo and finally got delivered on 2th of Feb.

I might Google a bit and mull it over.

GeeGee mean't on eBay, change your shipping to those countries so it shows they will receive it after a long time. You can still ship it the next day/same day, but you can change the shipping time to stop them opening cases. You will get a message from eBay every 30 days or so, and they will tell you how many people tried to open a case too early.

I am sure if the tracking shows that the item was delivered, and there is a feedback from the customer, EB will remove DNR cases from your account.
