i have found a new way to pass the phone verification

it is quite expensive cost £32 for 6 month which includes vat

so it just above a fiver a month

minimum 6 month contract per number

they have all the local numbers

I am currently testing out a new service which has cost me £1.75 a month and it has a 4 month contract.
Paypal called and i verified the number. On the paypal account limitation page it says that the number is verified but it is still showing up as one of the limitations to lift. I tried to press call now again and it says that it cant be done as there is already a call scheduled. I have also confirmed the expuse number that comes on the credit card and it still shows up as a limitation to remove.

If it works will let you guys know. I have emailed paypal to ask why its still showing up as a limitation. if anyone knows then please advise

they work, its just the cost per account! any service that gives you a landline number pointed at your existing landline will work, after all its just a phone number as far as ebay/pp concerned. Ive tried 2 services they both work, at least for ebay initially, as Im keeping them for a year, I will find out any probs but cant see y there should be, I even reverified an ebay seller acc twice, when I switched user screens by mistake. only flaw is if you get a recycled suspended user number.
If it doesnt work like Sairah is getting at the moment, the forum may lead you to believe it is a distance from address thing, I beg to differ, I have a running account that has phone and address 50 miles away from each other,
no probs yet 5 months in. Although it might be one of the factors if they have chosen to look in to your account for whatever reason, Im no expert, just my personal experience,

Ebay thats great stuff. Oompaloompa made me aware of this service before but again for some reason they didnt allow me to order because i mentioned to them i wasnt a business. Later they told me that they only deal with business'. I turned around and told them that i didnt mention i was a business because i never thought it would matter besides didnt want to declare it if i didnt need to.

So however is going to use this service just make sure you sign up as a business..

Regarding my prev post about this new number that i have found. I emailed paypal and this is what reply i recieved.

In relation to your concern, I have checked your account and I was able to
see that you have already confirmed your home address however it is not
reflecting on your end which we are aware of and the relevant department is
now doing their best to have this rectified as soon as possible. For the
mean time I have now made arrangement to the relevant department and I have
asked them to have this rectified from your account.

Please let me know if you need further assistance

since then i have been in my paypal account and it is still showing up as one of the limitations.

I will check again tomorrow. Hopefully it has worked. Once i am fully confident in this number i will share it with you guys.

The new number that i have is now verified and can let you know that it works for paypal anyway.still needs to be tested on ebay. It costs £1.75 a month with a 4 month contract.

The company didnt ask me for any info as such. They just declined me so i called to enquire why. When i enquired that is whn he made me aware that they deal with businesses only

I am a little confused about if I have to sign up for a new account using my UK IP and forwarded my calls to an USA number or just sign up using my USA Ip?

you want a US account and tel number, thought you were refering to UK ebay, To set up on UK is quite easy, can help with that.

US account way more complicated, personally wouldnt attempt if unless you buy one already set up for you with paypal too, the phone number isnt a prob for US their format is more lenient but the access to the address for you, ssn, and US bank account - tricky

Guys I am totally confused. I just need to get the phone verification for Paypal and actually I am ready to sign up to get a phone number that works.
My problem is that I have read a lot about this but I am still not sure what company I am supposed to get.

If you had your flag up you could get a better answer. To me it looks as if you are based in the USA but want to create a UK ebay/paypal account.

Yes actually I have had my ⊗⊗⊗⊗ Paypal and ebay account for more than one year.
Now I am trying to open a new UK ebay and Papal account.
I already own a bank account in LLoyds in UK.
Also I am paying for a virtual office and I have a prepaid cell with an UK number.
I already signed up for Ebay and paypal. In paypal I already confirmed my bank and added my credit card and everything goes fine. The only problem is the phone verification. If you recommend me receive the confirmation via regular mail to my virtual office address it's ok for me to wait two weeks but I don't know if this option is ok for ebay and paypal or may be to get a virtual phone number will be better. what can you recommend?

ok, get you, the cell phone is useful as extra contact but you need landline verification for ebay, it can be anylandline number, preferably close to address given but I have found it isnt essential, many companies out there, I use tamartelecommunications, but you should find many out there on a web search, voipfone is cheapest though. For paypal however,it is more important to make sure you get area code for your address exact if possible, but in any case you have an address for a letter to go to, this is for if you need location verification 4 digits to input once you reach your spending limit, its either a letter (takes 3 weeks) or phone call .

Im concerned about one thing though, have you already set up account from a US IP? Usually an error message comes up if it is a US-only IP or if ISP isnt in UK, they are not coded by country as far as I know but are coded by ISP first and foremost, I dont want you to be flagged, better to set it up or have it set up for you in UK or Maybe someone on another section can help you regarding this for suitable worldwide type IPs, Ive no clue.
