| | | Doofy05 | 05-10-2015 06:42 PM | Recorded Delivery Claims help hi guys,
i have had a lot of my recorded deliveries with the royal mail go missing.
i have around 90 items i am entitled to claim compensation on for loss.
my invoices are from china and they are not very professional. I'm sure most of you know what i mean.
im concerned the post office won't accept these.
can anyone help me out here?
any advise would be greatly appreciated.
thanks :-) |
Re: Recorded Delivery Claims help 1st question - are you dropshipping from China? |
| GreenBean | 05-10-2015 07:11 PM | Re: Recorded Delivery Claims help Then go back to your seller and tell him you want better pieces of paper.
90 items is a bit over the top even for Royal Fail....
Look at using another Post Office for the future.

:ranger: | 90 items over a 6 month period. |

Not claimed before, Doofy'? |
| Bunneh | 05-10-2015 07:41 PM | Re: Recorded Delivery Claims help I have seen videos about royal mail where if you claim to many parcels from one specific address, they will investigate you.
But you can use purchase or sales receipts to prove value of items. |
| Iron_chin | 05-10-2015 07:52 PM | Re: Recorded Delivery Claims help Any links to said video? I've got a few genuine claims in the last couple if months and am worried about this also. |
| Ebayorbust | 05-11-2015 01:30 AM | Re: Recorded Delivery Claims help If the items were sold on ebay I think you only need to print off the relevant sales invoices from there. F@ke invoices for your f@ke goods will probably not be required.
Best to tread carefully on this. That is a serious quantity to go "missing" over 6 months. As Bunneh has said, make too many claims and you will be investigated. |

That could go against you.

| just_smile | 05-11-2015 03:16 AM | Re: Recorded Delivery Claims help You only have 80 days to claim if I remember correctly.
You need the original receipts as they pay out what it cost you originally, not what it sold for. |
| Doofy05 | 05-11-2015 04:32 AM | Re: Recorded Delivery Claims help i have made claims before yes.
to be perfectly honest i was not aware that the items where not delivered.
you are able to make a claim up to 6 months after date of postage.
so what i done was enter all my tracking numbers from the last 6 months into royal males track and trace.
to my surprise i had 90 undelivered items that are eligable for claims. stretching all the way back to November. |
| Ebayorbust | 05-11-2015 04:42 AM | Re: Recorded Delivery Claims help Not signed for does not necessarily mean not delivered.
If you decide to submit a claim for an item that was in fact delivered you'll be in deep doo-doo. |
| just_smile | 05-11-2015 05:16 AM | Re: Recorded Delivery Claims help In that case they will just send you the difference you paid for the signature. But they will pay out in stamps, not cash. |

What does it say in the part about ebay when claiming lost items  http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h2...psataegdp0.jpg |
| Bunneh | 05-11-2015 05:32 AM | Re: Recorded Delivery Claims help OP you also have to remember that they dont just refund you for the loss, they contact the person you sent the item to and ask for confirmation if it was delivered.. so EbayorBust is right, make SURE you are claiming legitimately. |

They still only pay you conpensation for what it cost you to aquire.
They don't pay out for the full selling price even though they ask for proof of it. They stopped that practice a long time ago. |

as far as i am concerned i have tracked the item using the barcode and the results show as undelivered. no signature.
i spoke to royal mail over the phone and gave them a few of the tracking numbers to look into for me. they came back to me with no trace of the parcel and that i am eligible to make the claim.
if once i make the claims, they contact the recipients of the parcels to check if the item was delivered and it was. Then in my book i have done nothing wrong.
How was i to know that the item was delivered if when tracked it shows nothing. |

every reply is much appreciated. |

so just the £1/£1.10 recorded delivery fee? |

| wired | 05-11-2015 06:22 AM | Re: Recorded Delivery Claims help This really sounds like the OP is going through all the old numbers and seeing which ones have not got signatures and claiming for lost items. Ive seen this before.
Would your buyers not of contacted you prior to this to ask where there items are if they had not been delivered?
Something smells like deep sea cod. |

So just be careful :mod: |
| wired | 05-11-2015 06:28 AM | Re: Recorded Delivery Claims help I remember the story of the two lads who did a fraud on the Special Delivery service, sending broken items and claiming RM broke them for compensation. They got caught out and got three years in the slammer.
Must of been worth it for those few hundred quid. |
| Ebayorbust | 05-11-2015 06:29 AM | Re: Recorded Delivery Claims help If the people you have sent the items to have not contacted you to say they have not been delivered, then rest assured, they WERE delivered.
By all means make claims for items you know have not been delivered but cut the crap with this "not signed for" excuse. The Royal Mail compensation scheme is there for a reason. Abuse it at your peril. |
| wired | 05-11-2015 12:19 PM | Re: Recorded Delivery Claims help Didn't think we would see the OP back once I pointed out his scam plan :) |
| isitworththestress | 05-12-2015 02:16 PM | Re: Recorded Delivery Claims help One other problem, what happens if your buyers think the same as you once that letter points out free stuff for them.
how many Not received claims can your account withstand. |

Buyer - "oh it arrived with no signature, time to get it for free' |

Ban the Scam! |
| Bunneh | 05-13-2015 03:59 AM | Re: Recorded Delivery Claims help Well if he is doing this to scam people and not the honest way,
Then when royal mail send the automatic letter out asking if the buyer received the item, and the buyers come back with yes on multiple items & buyers.. that is when he will get what is coming for him lol..
And if he is even more lucky he will get some nasty messages from them on ebay to. |

Hopefully some cold hard jail time will happen, better start stocking up on cheap soap from China, if it dosent sell on eBay, he will have plenty of use for it
