Guys

currently overseas for a long period of time but need to create a new paypal.

could i do this completely online without the need of going to the bank.

i have access to halifax and santander right now. could i open some kind of account with those two online and crank up a new paypal?

Very likely but you would need to be extremely mindful about accessing your online bank from an overseas IP address.

I have good access to the online banking system and have spoken to them about my overseas trips.

Which account should i open with santander?

Current is the easiest option but fees involved

You can open a Halifax online saver and get account number and sort code instantly as you already have a halifax account, just needs £1 to start it up.

I'm lead to believe we shouldnt use halifax?

It is on the 'OK' list and I have never had problems form multiple basics and multiple savers over the last few years.
