I always buy argos vouchers, they usually go for about 90% of their value and someone in the family is always buying something from Argos (especially at Christmas). Obviously this is only Ok for a few hundred quid. I have never been lucky enough to get into the thousands problem.

hmm thats a good idea, have never thought of buying vouchers before. Maybe you cant exchange them for cash but you should be able to get 90% of the money back when you sell them on. If you need them even better.
