I did ask the question earlier, is it letters or just emails firstly...? I am assuming they have the address, which is why OP is worrying?
if they have your address, I would pay it now, just for the hassle factor - nothing else.
..all this 'you used their services' yadda yadda, who cares - the money for fees comes from your sales right? so the sales money is on hold right now and that is tough, its tougher on the seller losing that income too, yes eb and paypal are separate, well ebay could quite easily make an agreement with paypal to give them the fees, the fact that they do not isnt the sellers problem....if the seller cannot access the money to pay it..........
if it is stealth, then you have an option to pay fees when you get the sales money, cos the fees money is in there sitting on hold....I do not think tht is unreasonable. They have T&Cs yes, well my T&Cs are if I sold something and I shipped it then I get my money for it.....
I remember the great ilcarletto said something about how a monkey would not give away their banana for the promise of 10 bananas in heaven......
