I got so fed up with ebays stance on scammers with the 'no tracking, auto refund' jazz that anything over large letter I no longer send through royal mail but Hermes. Its 9p more but worth it for the tracking number.
Now my number of ebay claims has plummeted which is great but I need advice on how to tackle my first item not received case.
I have tracking and it says in transit. I want to resolve with customer but wondered what happens if they escalate. How would ebay view it normally if I have tracking info like this showing it sent it out the day of sale? Its £13 so not a bank breaker but it would be much better to stand strong obviously.

YEs it is with parcel 2 go. As you probably realise its not worth paying the c over amount so it looks like I will just have to take this one on the chin.
But it does still leave the question how ebay would view it on an uninsured but tracked item? I mean, im not at fault either and its still classed as in transit right?
Long distance selling regs dictate that it is the responsibility of the seller to get the item to the buyer so they will back the buyer in my opinion, paypal usually do.
They will favour the buyer, if its over a certain perioid of time even ebay will use common sense and realise the parcel is lost.
This was my biggest problem with p2g and why i stopped using them, constantly "losing" (i think stealing or breaking) my parcels and i never did insure them so went back to RM, who insure you even for a £2.80 2nd class package.
