| | | AndreasP | 04-26-2016 03:59 AM | Best VCC/Prepaid Options Hi
I live in the UK and I am looking for a VCC/Prepaid card that I can link to my stealth account and potentially use from time to time.
Anyways I would prefer not to use entropay as I find that the whole process a bit of a nightmare. Are there any good alternatives to that or any prepaid cards that work great with PayPal that are worth picking up?
Thank You |
Re: Best VCC/Prepaid Options I was recently criticised by other forum members for saying entropay was complicated - apparently I was wrong. If so, I would say if you find this to be most complicated, you should consider just buying them direct from account sellers on this forum.
I have purchased from here myself. Their good to go. |
| vetus | 04-26-2016 04:28 AM | Re: Best VCC/Prepaid Options End of the day Entropay is easy to use - some members have their own opinions and are more entitled to that, it's what is easiest for each individual. I personally don't like adding Entropay to stealth accounts, it was one of the first VCCs ever to be used on stealth accounts, lots of non-stealth members use virtual cards nowadays but personal preference I like to be different.
There are some other nice VCCs out there or you can look at gift cards. Morrisons have just taken on some new 4 year gift cards from ilovemygift.com - activate and you're ready to buy. Come in £25 and £50 denominations. |
| JamesNorth101 | 04-26-2016 04:32 AM | Re: Best VCC/Prepaid Options Entropay would be the best thing for you to use really
Its pretty straight forward. Just open the account in your real details and you can be up and running them with pretty fast. |
Re: Best VCC/Prepaid Options P.S. if your afraid of going for high denomination such as £25/£50, remember, although you will only use roughly a £1 for verification, you can use up the rest of the balance on purchases - it is in effect a payment card. |

Thank You | You have options to different cards from the various supermarkets that work.
However, I prefer entropay and use that.
Thing is the set up method of entropay causes grief for some. Once explained, it is fine.

My credit card normally shows payments made instantly so do you think that will get rid of all this hassle for me? |
| Dmshark25 | 04-26-2016 05:05 AM | Re: Best VCC/Prepaid Options Even with a credit card it may show the 1.00 that was used for verification instantly online under your " pending transactions" but the code may not show up until the transaction goes from pending to processed, which may take 3-4 days . But a CC should work as a top off method, just dont be discouraged if the code is not there instantly |

| vetus | 04-26-2016 05:23 AM | Re: Best VCC/Prepaid Options By the time you have dealt with that you could of been to a supermarket for a gift card :)
Deal with the bank then in the meantime get the VISA / MCARD Prepaid. |
| JamesNorth101 | 04-26-2016 05:30 AM | Re: Best VCC/Prepaid Options The problem with the gift cards is the are not always reloadable.
Entropay is :) |
| donkeykong2012 | 04-26-2016 05:40 AM | Re: Best VCC/Prepaid Options I have little experience with Supermarket Gift Cards.
Are Asda cards such as below suitable? https://cards.asda.com/
They would have to provide the 16 digit card number, expiry date etc.
I was thinking of popping into my local store this week to test one.
Just realised I have a USC card lol I could test that as well. |
| vetus | 04-26-2016 05:45 AM | Re: Best VCC/Prepaid Options No you need these: or the Mastercard version.
Visa come in a red packaging or the Vanilla version in a silver packaging with a purple gift box at the top.
Store cards are not what is being spoken about so don't get confused. https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=vi...SPjwTASBaRM%3A |

Entropay is :) | I use entropay and its working fine but for the future i thought of this idea which I have not tried but wondered would it work ?
You buy a gift card and attach it to a paypal account. once confirmed, then buy another gift card using the balance on the first confirmed gift card plus a few quid and use it to confirm another paypal account ?
Has anyone done this please ? |
| vetus | 04-26-2016 05:51 AM | Re: Best VCC/Prepaid Options Not sure if you're saying to use the first gift card twice but that would link the accounts so no.
1 gift card = 1 PayPal
Same principle as a bank |
| JamesNorth101 | 04-26-2016 05:53 AM | Re: Best VCC/Prepaid Options That would not really work since you would need to fine somewhere that sells gift cards and can take PayPal. Not many places exist.
The balance on the gift card would also be too low to buy another gift card
Gift cards costs £27.95, and come loaded with £25
When you have confirmed the card its then reduced to £24. That leaves too little on the card to buy another card with. |

:amen: | I can imagine stealth users from the '80s doing something like this
(if it were to exist back then of course) |

(if it were to exist back then of course) | HeeHee, in the late 80s - early 90s, we did churn and burn... Was rare then to even think stealth! This was for ebay UK too.
Boy, did those games end & our dreams get dashed.

Like I said its an idea | An idea that could work IF that gift card is reloadable. Not all are.
Worst comes to worst, spend the balance on your co-op shopping, and purchase another gift card at checkout? |
| vetus | 04-26-2016 08:36 AM | Re: Best VCC/Prepaid Options arktech - Yes what you say is correct.
The £25 is the credit on the card.
The £2.95 is a fee you DO NOT see at all - so forget replacing that.
Once you have confirmed the card on the PayPal (£1) will come off.
You are left with £24.
Take the gift card + £3.95 cash and purchase another one in store, this will work. |

As for all these posts about what you do with your remaining entropay balance, and purchasing multiple cards for multiple stealths, this is one of the beauties of Entropay.
Costs 10p to verify a stealth. Job done. Want to verify another 20 stealths sometime over the next year? No need to buy more cards at £25 each.....just log in and it takes 10 seconds and costs another 10p per card. |
| JamesNorth101 | 04-28-2016 04:23 AM | Re: Best VCC/Prepaid Options Using a card (such as entropy) confirms a PayPal
Only a bank account will verify a paypal account
Important to not get the terms mixed up as they mean very different things |

Important to not get the terms mixed up as they mean very different things | I am talking about overall stealth not paypal. Although we could easily debate the terminology used with confirm/verify.
You use what terms you want and I will also. |
Re: Best VCC/Prepaid Options You're attacking James on his clarification? Wow |
Re: Best VCC/Prepaid Options P.S. Confirm and Verify are two completely different aspects of creating a PayPal account. The PayPal account has different restrictions imposed, depending on whether you failed to confirm or verify it.
@realdeals - when you fail to use the correct terminology, it results in discrepancy and confusion amongst other forum members. |

VERIFY = BANK VERIFICATION which is where the word VERIFY comes out from.
CONFIRM - this is the word PAYPAL use when adding a card and you click to send the code to the card, this is PayPal's words not JamesNorth101's.
This is why we use them in that manner so everyone is on the same page.
Just thought I would clarify :thumb: |

Just thought I would clarify :thumb: | Card VERIFIES Paypal stealth address by passing AVS check.
Bank Account Verifies Paypal Account. |

| No. It 100% verifies, otherwise it wouldn't pass AVS checks.
Call it confirm, I dont care. Fact is it verifies. |

You use what terms you want and I will also.
| Its not really about what term any one person wants to use. One term means one thing and the other term means something totally different.
As an example its like saying the term grill and oven are interchangeable. They are not, one thing is grilling and the other is cooking an item in an oven. If you cook food and grill your lamb for 5 hours when it said to oven cook it your going to get very burnt lamb.
Term such as the 2 in question are important to make sure stealth accounts do not get burnt.
A VCC or prepaid card will confirm an address on PayPal.
A bank account will verify a PayPal
They are separate from one another so using the correct term in the right way is important to ensure members who are new to stealth do not get confused. It can all be a bit confusing as it is after all! | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 12:37 AM. | |
