Strange paypal limitation

Been using paypal for about 10 years and got a limitation on my of my accounts with reference to paypal user policy

they quoted an ebay item number and said this went against their user policy, ive sold said item for number of years and this particular listing was an auction rather than buy it now

the ebay account is fine but the long standing paypal is gone :(

Did they close the account? What was the reason they gave?

Its probably an item that goes against paypals tos policy. Even though your eBay id ok and you sold this previously with paypal, doesnt mean its ok, not everything is instantly caught and could take anywhere from minutes to years for the system or a manuel review to detect.

You can always call paypal now, and see if you can get more information, could be something that you can fix, possibly

Might as well try to sort it out OP BUT make backup accounts right away

Sometimes in these particular cases, I think its a competitor who has stitched you up. Has happened to me, where an item would sell faultless for months, and all of a sudden Paypal (not even ebay) - Paypal decide to take action. Can only think its you being stitched up.
