Which bank was that?

When you say you just created the account, was it the bank account or the PayPal you had just created?

With a few banks you need to wait 2/3 days after the bank account has been created before trying to add it to PayPal

i'm interested in hearing this too

I got my smile bank account details though but same error message

"disabled"

Guess i'll have to call paypal and ask how i can submit this new information :doh:

Yeah I thought from the outset that it wasn't a bank problem and you'd need to sort out the ID problem before you could sort anything else.

maybe try calling paypal again, you get all kinds of reps with different answers on the phone. someone may just help you.

this guy wins!! Original lloyds bank added succesfully

i signed up for another bank account with smile and tried to add that and it didn't work

but then spoke to paypal again and spoke to a cheerier guy who seemed happy to help

i even mentioned papyal asked for ID before, and he didn't even ask for it

but he did put me on hold for a disconcerting period of time, 15minutes probably

He said he called the bank :/ But it was 7pm and i don't know what he thinks the bank have got to do with anything. it was paypal's block. i doubt he called anyone.

I think i like calling after 9-5. this guy was a lot more laid back

If the PayPal name doesn't match the name on the Lloyds bank name then your still going to have issues withdrawing to Lloyds

Im sure I read somewhere Lloyds *Business* bank accounts were a little more lenient with mismatched names. I guess only time will tell. ;)

Withdraw slowly, PayPal is well known for giving with hand and taking with the other.

A dozen withdrawls in and i can confirm no issues at all with lloyds business bank

Wouldn't use them for anything other than withdrawing paypal balance though, their fees are extortionate.
