You think its bad on ebay uk? Go check out taobao.com. Its all in mandarin but you can see the prices which are in Chinese Yuan.
I'm from Singapore and I've worked in both China and UK. The mainland Chinese are willing to work 100 times harder for 10% of the money. And they have no family life or balanced life. Its just work work work. And they manufacture most products that you see around the world so they have the best prices to start with. If they want to compete in a certain category, you can just forget about selling there ever again.
Most of my business friends here in Singapore know that it is impossible to fight them by price. So we counter that by selling niche products or creating brand loyalty for your products. |
