What device are you using?

Have you tried setting your network selection to manual and trying other local networks? I had the choice of 4 in Germany.

Have you tried in a more built-up area (I have no idea what sort of area you are in)

God knows what's wrong.

Next time have a VPN ready as back up, almost foolproof

Agreed. Or even take a backup sim. I would recommend three when it comes to roaming.

Took a back up sim.

Same problems.

Not bothering wit VPN anymore and cancelled the subscriptions as was costing too much to run 6+ at a time.

Only ever had this issue with Greece.

Won't come back here...ha!!
