From experience, pay the fees direct to ebay. Login and there is still an option to make a 1 off payment, also your account will come back shortly after. When the collectors ring tell them its paid, refuse to give your details and they will hang up, they may chase you for a while but as the debt is settled they are chasing nothing so just ignore. They will also of added a charge on so much better to go direct to ebay.

Got a phone call from debt collectors today, I told them ebay closed my account, they said what for, I replied i dont know
Them: they gave you no reason?
Me: no, I wish I knew
Them: They normally tell you why
Me: No they didnt say anything, they are a law unto themselves, I am not paying you or ebay a penny, good bye
Them, we will contact ebay and find out what has happened and be in touch

If they have your REAL landline number / and / or / real address my advise would be to pay.

If not they cancel the virtual number or just stop using it.

Nothing will happen if they have stealth details. I say F*** them
