ok so i open a paypal account in my same address i have used for ebay, then i can change the delivery address on paypal to a variation of my own address..... like maybe change the last digit of postcode and maybe have a letter after the number etc....have i got it right !!!!

^^^ PO Box costs in the UK are very different from the USA. Much higher in price & there's a longer contract period. :pout:

i did read your last post but i prefer not to use a po box! if i just change my delivery address around a bit or just ask buyer to send to another address it should be fine.

Changing your delivery adress around sounds kind of confusing, I would definetly go with the latter.

just register the name and address i used for ebay for paypal and just ask the seller to send it to another address before i buy it?

:faint: ebay/paypal name address should match in any case.

Since you are insisting on using paypal, then you have to make sure that you contact the seller OFF ebay to see if they will deliver to another address. (not recommended to do) There can be troubles.

You have to decide:
use another address that you can access for nothing.
Amend your current address to bypass the system.

ALL these options have been offered. Make a choice :peace:

You can try this but a lot of sellers won't do it because

1. they won't be covered by seller protection
2. it is a common tactic used by buyers tring to defraud merchandise from sellers

Just try the address trick if you are sure you must have the stuff sent to your home address. It has been reported to work successfully.

Stick the address and a stamp on a postcard or envelope and put it in the post box, see if it gets through. If possible use an actual local variation on your postcode (i.e. some streets will be covered by two different postcodes).

so you put in gift address. it was variation of your real address and paypal cannot verify it - ok never come across that one before, I would have thought that if you can set up a paypal and receive payments and send payments using a wonky address (like many of mine) then why not a gift address? I have a new address cos I moved and I didnt want to give them my real address, so I just changed the last digit of the postcode (I looked it up and it exists about 5 miles away but of course doesnt correspond to the road its been put with) and I can buy with it, sell the odd thing etc...so its has got to be something to do with the what postcode youve inputted, a real one should go through, one that doesnt exist possibly wont.....Anyway, you arent have good luck here, are you, so maybe try the other option of emailing seller first and keeping it all private, without inputting anything, its a safer option anyway...

one other option though, if your road had more than one postcode, eg a long road, that could be used, again a letter should still get there.

Look, why dont you set up an actual ebay/paypal in a variation of your real address, ok? then you can buy to your hearts content, it will get you feedback plus then you can also use it as a slow selling account, if the selling doesnt doesnt draw attention to you, you have little to fear from making it, follow forum rules about fees etc and if you have fee problems, then name and actual address dont exist in theory anyway....
so if they come looking, they can blow it out of their A

No the address i used for ebay is different from my real address< i used my sons account details from his card>>>>is this how they cannot verify the card? Would it be easier going to entropay?

You got 1 name and adress real or ⊗⊗⊗⊗, you use that same name and adress for email, ebay, paypal, and regisster a visa gift card with the same details and when you want to buy something from a different adress you email the seller and ask if they can ship to the adress you give them in the email.

And I don't why you're trying to type numbers and capital letters show up that doesn't make any sense.

You have made an ebay account YES/NO. what address, what phone number?

Later you made a paypal account: specially what happened there?

i have made ebay account using my old maiden name and old address...... still need these details for paypal but it does not verify billing address as its obvisoult not the right one...silly me!! so i think i will just use entropay....do i put in my real details for entropay and still keep the same old name and address for paypal to keep it the same as ebay?

YES use entropay.... you won't be able to use your real debit/credit card to verify your stealth address.

Sign up to entropay with your real details. Load £10 to a virtual card with your real debit/credit card.

Make a note of your virtual card number/ccv/expiry date and add it to Paypal (that has the same address as your Ebay account).

You will also need to confirm this card to make instant payments from your bank account once your PayPal account is up and running. But lets concentrate on one thing at a time.

You can spend what's left of the £10 you loaded on the card through paypal at a later date or wherever you like.

It is that simple :)

used entropay got verified straight away with paypal.

now i suppose i can just use this like a credit card to pay for things on ebay?

already found a seller whom is willing to post to another address!!

do you think it would be safe enough for me to transfer money from my old paypal account into my new one? or is this a way of getting caught!! as i have not verified bank details i cannot put money into paypal....just have to use entropay just now.

No it would not be advisable to move money from your old paypal account to your new one....

Yes you can use it like a credit card to pay through paypal.... be aware there are fees per load though so in the long run it is best to get your bank account and the entropay card verified so you can make instant payments from your bank account.

how do i go about with the bank account? i have ones i can use but they are all addressed to me....do i need to get something different? as i can use any but it asks for name and address?

The bank accounts you have will be fine. The names and addresses don't need to match. Your bank won't share info with PayPal.

Just put in the sort code and account number and a few days later the 2 small deposits will turn up in your bank account.
