I just got a neg removed off of a 100% positive account.
Buyer contacts be after 6 weeks wanting a refund , I am not bloody argos.
Left me a neg, so Not only did I email him, I went through ebay and got his personal details, which you can get if you have a transaction with someone.
You get the details , and the customer gets an email from ebay saying someone has requested their personal details.
He did not like this, and informed me that those details are wrong, well it obviously scared him , and after a another email to him , the neg was retracted.
I hate the feedback process, sellers are at the mercy of buyers.
As well as selling restrictions, which eBay will put in place if you get too many negs, your seller rating drops, then you will get "cannot list for 30 days" a lot. On one account, I wait 30 days, list about 60 items, and bang, cannot sell again. Is a pain, could work around it, however I want to keep the account, so if they say stop, I stop. It helps anyway, gives me time to concentrate on building other accounts, rather than neglecting them because I have active accounts.
Best to make contact with the buyer, explain why things have gone wrong, and you are more than willing to make up for it, as long as the neg is retracted. Is it worth it, well that is entirely upto you.
