no the method you describe doesnt work

only buyer can remove neg usually, unless its libel or a cuss

forget about it, alot of good accounts get a single neg, its when you get a few in a row, that you need to worry

Just sell a load of cheap items for feedback, not the end of the world

If the negative mentions anything about filing a claim with Ebay or Paypal it can get removed as that is against the rules. You just notify Ebay for feedback abuse and they will remove it.

Oh! no!!!!!! WTH are you (not) doing to have that ratio? Jump on improving this quickly. What does it say on your seller dashboard? Are there areas where you can improve?

You got no chance I argued with Ebay for months about a tosser who gave me bad feedback

Hopefully the bad karma has got back to him and a bus has crushed him anyway only very rare circumstances will Ebay themselves remove bad feedback and luckily I ws one of em but I think its the only bit of luck I will ever have

Never contact buyers through ebay, always use their personal email.
Why do you have so many negs and neuts? 30 people who have had a bad experience with you, think you need to stop taking liberties with people, their money, and more importantly with ebay. Get your arse in gear and work harder, otherwise what you seem to think is your cashcow will soon run dry, as our friends from across the pond would say, " you better step up your A game buddy".

10 negs and 20 neutrals out of a total 1050, that doesn't seem like a bad percentage to me. Is it?

If some does file a claim, will you find out immediately?

I just got a neg removed off of a 100% positive account.

Buyer contacts be after 6 weeks wanting a refund , I am not bloody argos.

Left me a neg, so Not only did I email him, I went through ebay and got his personal details, which you can get if you have a transaction with someone.

You get the details , and the customer gets an email from ebay saying someone has requested their personal details.

He did not like this, and informed me that those details are wrong, well it obviously scared him , and after a another email to him , the neg was retracted.

I hate the feedback process, sellers are at the mercy of buyers.

As well as selling restrictions, which eBay will put in place if you get too many negs, your seller rating drops, then you will get "cannot list for 30 days" a lot. On one account, I wait 30 days, list about 60 items, and bang, cannot sell again. Is a pain, could work around it, however I want to keep the account, so if they say stop, I stop. It helps anyway, gives me time to concentrate on building other accounts, rather than neglecting them because I have active accounts.

Best to make contact with the buyer, explain why things have gone wrong, and you are more than willing to make up for it, as long as the neg is retracted. Is it worth it, well that is entirely upto you.

how can you get them removed? i have a buyer that admitted damaging my item, got a 'no fault' refund from ebay resolution - so has MY item and ebays money - then trashed my 100% record, and ebay will only remove the comment for feedback abuse, but not the rating!!

fill out a defermation form with ebay stating that comment is untrue, they will remove, it is up to the buyer to prove this not you to disprove, it is against the law to leave any bad comment on the web where a 3rd party can read it without having 100% proof, your feedback % will remain affected however the comment will be removed and will state instead " this comment was removed by ebay" this works for me 100% of the time

Keep those DSR's above 4.6 (really you want to be 4.8 across the board). If you've got 1000 positive and 10 negative for instance, it's not to bad as long as your DSR doesn't go above the 1% expected standard. Try refunding buyers, and then get them to change their feedback.

I had 6 negatives removed last month, some over 10 months old.

All were for item not received, I eventually proved they all arrived as they were delayed at customs. eBay removed every one. It was done via Live Chat.
