Not sure what to do re date of Birth

Hi All

I was suspended from ebay/paypal a year or so a go (usual story 9 years service .. they would not listen..law to them selves etc).
I have now just started again(private account) and put a few items up on ebay in a new account under my mums name.

I set up paypal under her name and also her bank account

The bank account has been confirmed with the 2 money amounts but the problem i have is i put the wrong year for her birthday and now when they ask to verify the personal information for the final step it is saying all the info is not correct i can not erase the original date and put in her true date!!

It is the same wrong date on ebay and i can not change that either!

If i close paypal and start it again from fresh with the correct date and get them to put 2 new amounts in will this flag up "We allready have an account can not use or do" or will that help

I have some listings at the moment on ebay should i remove the link so if there is a problem with paypal they would not know about the ebay site? Or will this affect the listings

I am also using a new computor on my broadband Where i used an old laptop from a year ago for my old ebay account does that make a difference to the ip i had before and now?


Bit of a dilema as im just starting to put 300 items on ebay but i do want to lose this bank account in my mums name as well as the bank account

be careful using mums name/bank etc should of just setup a total stealth dont want anything falling back on mum do ya (like paypal taking money etc)

....and that would be the moment they would get you, the minute she decided to accept a payment. Wham, instant guilt. (Not to mention, my mum, er... mom, would have a sh** fit.) And you know it will happen sooner or later, unless you are luckier than average.

Mum knows about the account as she set it up with me i just use the cash card etc and will draw any monies

you can start again if you want but I wouldnt just because of dob, date of birth is something they sometimes ask, or want on ID and it would be helpful to know it, but Ive wiped records before and I was asked dob and I said I thought I had put it in wrong, (said I thought it was memorable date, they meant) gave them correct one and they were fine, as long as other questions are answered correctly thats ok.

this is an older account right? I still think 300 listings is way too many, you should build up lisitngs month by month to avoid flags.

Of course she knows (I did not mean you were doing anything wrong).....but does she know how PayPal operates? As long as she never uses it herself to accept money...that would be the exact moment my luck would run out. (Luck....what luck???)
