well said....the one who is shady

you have gone wrong somewere bud, wether it was your own fault or not

i remember when it snowed heavily, and it all went balls up

i think the more negative feedbacks you have the more likely customers will give you them

i think your best approach to this is go stealth

try to get your account back but all that bad feedback is just going to hold you back

start a fresh and learn from your mistakes, learn from the forumites

buy the stealth ebook, read it a few times,

you....will be back :)

lucy 06-12-2011 03:59 AM

snap, i've had the same happen to my 9 year old account, it comes as a shock, but super stealth is the way to go

ShadyOne 06-12-2011 09:06 AM

Learning stealth will give you the skills to successfully run multiple accounts. This would have been perfect for the OP. Fall back on to some other accounts whilst trying to get this account reinstated.

No time like the present, I hope the OP puts the effort in to learn Stealth!

Are you sure there isnt anything else going on here. There is no reason ebay would kick you for those stats. I am assuming whether you want to admit it or not than you have been warned for something, and you continued to violate their warning. One of my old accounts I have 600+ positive 100% and i was warned about something, and was ignorant and did it again and was booted.

chrisgcox3 06-14-2011 06:04 AM

I have email them several times and they keep sending me this copy and paste email,

Hello Chris,

Thank you for writing back to us about the selling restriction placed on
your account "======". I understand you're concerned as you've been
an eBay seller for a very long time and that you've done your best to
satify your customers.

Chris, I've reviewed your account again; however, we're unable to
lift your restriction. You're no longer able to sell on eBay with this
account, but you may continue to buy items, leave Feedback, access
emails in My Messages and do most other administrative tasks.

I realise you may not have been aware of Seller Non-Performance. I've
included some information that may help you understand this policy.

Please know, as a seller, you're expected to perform in a manner which
results in a consistently high level of buyer satisfaction. If your
interactions with the eBay community create unacceptable levels of buyer
dissatisfaction, you've breached this policy.

Although you have done your role perfectly as a seller, there are still
some instances wherein your buyers may still not feel completely happy.

This is the reason why we always encourage an honest and open
communication on the site. Most sellers have managed to improve their
Detailed Seller Ratings (DSRs) by ensuring that proper communication is
made before completing the transaction.

To have a clearer understanding of this restriction, I suggest you take
the time to review your Seller Dashboard. You can view the dashboard
here:
...
You may also be considered performing below standard if you receive too
many cases of items not received or items not as described, or negative
or neutral Feedback.

For more information about our Seller Performance standards, copy this
link into a new browser window:

Seller performance standards

Chris, your patience and cooperation is greatly appreciated in
this matter. If you have questions or would like more information,
please don't hesitate to reply to this email.

Kind regards,

Dee

its like talking to robots :( tried phoning them you get the same bland "i dont give a crap" reply and live chat is even worse.

Does anyone know of any other contact numbers i could try? maybe someone from head office ?

KingRay 06-14-2011 06:36 PM

What do you want to talk to them about. Your DSR's suck and you got away with it too long.

What else do you need to know. everyone on here says the same thing. Get yourself together and dont do the same thing in the future.

You arent getting packages out fast enough, you are charging too much shipping, you arent communicating with your customers and they dont feel they are getting what is described in your auctions.

This is so simple I dont see why you wont listen to everyone.

You have to start over fresh. If you dont change things 110% you are going to get suspended again.

Ebay isnt the same ebay from when you started selling. you have to make the changes that they make work for you. You missed the boat.

sorry but its the truth.

You see, One of the things I sell is hatching eggs, eggs that people put in incubators, I send out many parcels every month by Royal Mail and I have never had an egg damaged. Not one

I have never had a customer try to blackmail me either.

What do you think it is that causes you to have these problems?

If you can identify that you are half way there to solving your problem
:pop2:

Always depends what you sell, as some categories just seem to draw in the idiot buyer, or the competitive sellers

ensignia 06-15-2011 01:18 PM

I got a 4 for Shipping today even though I undercharge by 40p for postage. Some people are morons, and eBay don't do enough to educate buyers on the difference between a 4 star rating or a 5.

ShadyOne 06-15-2011 03:25 PM

@ensignia, exactly, this it a common problem with people leaving ratings for items on eBay!

VERY true.

I guess the only way to fix that is to just add free shipping and go that route. You already have to pay fees on the shipping anyway so why not.

chrisgcox3 06-16-2011 05:02 AM

I send items the same day like i said any bad ratings haver been for reasons outside of my control. I have followed the rules and done everything possible and more to keep my high feedback. I dont think its fair that any rating above 4 overall should be considerd bad enough to be perm banned?

GreenBean 06-16-2011 05:16 AM

Kinda feel liking screaming. Far too many posts have been a rehash of the you suck as a seller and ebay is sorting you out preaching.

Step back one minute because this thread has been bugging me. Bear with me (Ya gonna have to so there )

Chris: what was the state of the account for say 6 months before the terrbily bad winter?
How did it stand then? can you work that out?

Did the nose-dive start as a domino effect of Chrimbo, bad weather, no deliveries and buyers not being happy.

Say from Mid/Late january did you manage slight improvement? .....

Way I'm looking is the account's life has had several disasters.... I am interested in more from Chris rather than more egg sucking xxxx

rsot 06-16-2011 10:25 AM

GB /lollipop - you could have been much more succinct in your response =) You are better than this ha

deanlad1980 11-19-2012 01:59 AM

Glad I read this post, just joined today.
I too am nearly banned, sat here blaming the buyers when to be honest Ive been quite lazy in regards to posting & perhaps describing items "good working order" perhaps isnt enough lol.
Also have been a bit slow with dispatch...forgot what its like to be the buyer on the other end waiting excitedly for your item to arrive.
Time to jump before I get pushed, and start a fresh account, with way more effort put into description, 3 photos per item rather than one and free p&P.
will ebay let me close account and start fresh? or would i be better opening another account and keeping original one?
any advice very welcome.

J1mgg 12-27-2012 05:39 AM

Once you get back up and running I think you could probably cut some money of the postage to possibly £1.50. Get yourself along to a pound shop or even off eBay and get your jiffy bags as they are about 10p each, not sure what size you use though.
