Is this normal with ebay

Hello all, I have set up a stealth account today...everything went normal and was ok...then out of the blue, I recieved a call off ebay, asking for the person, who's name the account is in...luckily I thought to say he was out, and they asked me if phone number was the number that he could be reached on...do you think they will phone again, or was it just to try and find out if the number was to the person on the ebay account. I have to say I was a little shocked as this has never happend before with other ebay account...sorry for rambling, and TIA

No..everything matched up with ebay and paypal...I just listed a couple of low priced items..

you should`nt be listing on a day old account,but you never know what will happen with feebay,it could be okay as long as you dont go stupid(even more stupid)

try buying a few things,be cool

this is normal. they are verifying new sellers. i had this happen with 10 of the 30 accounts i have

sometimes we can try our luck and get away with it

sometimes they will close us down

but listing straight away on a new account is near on suiEcide

Thank you...me too, been keeping an eye on me email, but nothing has come through...just hoping they dont fone again while im at work tonight...lol..my listings have not gone live yet, so I am hoping they will have gone on after the 6 hours...we will have to see, got a funny feeling they will be watching me though...

Make new stealths to go with a different approach of buying then selling

if you can, cancel them!

it is recommended that you not sell for at least 30 days and then list on or two household items and gradually add more items

Do not worry about the phone call. Its happened to me before and the account is still alive. Also ive made around 10 stealths and listed items on them right away.

It doesnt affect anything. You need to think about when making a stealth account, treat it like a real account. I mean come on, when did anyone make a brand new real eb account for the 1st time and not use it right away.

Just make it right and you will last...

loads of ppl had messed up by listing straight away

there are many factors but if you have a full stealth account it is advised to buy items(like you are new) then list after 30 days

i would wait longer but 30 days is the advised amount of time to wait

how many genuinely new eb ay members list straight away? not many unless they know what it`'s all about

if you make an account and lsit 10 items within 2 hours without even browsing or anything then you are OBVIOUSLY not new to ebay

That is true what is written above, but the amount of eb accounts made every 5 minutes, along with the amount of listings being made every second it shouldnt really matter. Eb is so easy to use now anyone can sell stuff.

Just dont sell f@k£ and you will be fine. Blend in, act normal, pp or eb ask questions, answer them. You have nothing to lose, just make more and more accounts until you are perfect at it. Then you have finally beat eb and pp

i agree with some thing you said but just because you been lucky it dont mean that it's the right course of action for new eb ay accounts
