Yes you are right but it will not happen in uk account for the next 2 years only for the big store will happen soon and there is a way to do it even with the new sestem it is not so hard trust me.

It's happening because ebay want more buyers on the platform and managed payments will allow that to happen.

They are becoming like Amazon.

Its happening because they want to control the ££ and not get left high and dry by people owing fees. Its nothing to do with buyer or seller experience its to stop people running off while owing lots of ££

This crossed my mind the other day. I think this is possible.

If that is the case I feel like it's possible we will be able to run multiple accounts as long as we run them the right way.

More payment options and no need to sign up. Checkout as guest.

In regards to fees. I've never not paid my fees so don't really know how many stealthers are not paying them.

Ebay run £1 final value fee promotions on both private and now business accounts practically every other week now anyway so I can't see them losing a lot in fees. They just want to keep increasing the amount of buyers on their platform and offer them a no quibble money back guarantee just like amazon.

The checkout as a guest option is going to bring in a swarm of scammers thats for sure. I know you can 'essentially' checkout as a guest now, but its a little more complicated than I think it will be when MP is in full force.

I can't see it being the same.

The fact ebay manage sellers funds and hold on to it. They will relax buyer requirements because if they somehow turn out to be a scammer it's the seller that loses his funds, not ebay as they're holding the money.

No more stealthers running away with their fees
No more ebay dipping in to their own pockets to pay out disputes etc
More buyers on the platform

Yes I agree, the 'freedom' of guest purchasing through the likes of Apple pay with Click and Collect deliveries , combined with eBays pretty much control over the sales money etc is going to be a scammers paradise.

I think the big difference is you need to match the ebay account name, with your account bank name.

If you pay fees with direct debit, and using your bank account, then they have an easy way to see if the bank account matches or not your ebay name.

My eBay name is not real, my payonner uk bank account have my real name.

I have 2 legit ltds and 14 ebay stealths. I fear to give my ebay stealth the same name i use in the LTDs, just to match the bank accounts, and end up being linked.

I don't have any Ebay accounts that I am ok to lose as they are all earners.

Does anyone have a stealth they don't need?

If so maybe ring CS and ask if you are able to register many accounts under MP.

So the only way I can see it working is switching name on ebay account to real name and hoping that they'll except a bank letter not showing real address? and hope they don't ask for more bank verification further down the line. What a ball ache
