eBay UK - Managed Payments ? How will we stealth ?
 

So all is well in the world of stealth for many of us.

Smooth sailing, business as usual.

What do we do next year when eBay managed payments is implemented ? Many of us have created ebay stealth accounts with a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ name and address or atleast a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ address to the one we were initially suspended with.

I've been reading and it appears in the US adyen wants to ensure the ebay name matches the name on the bank account. What about the address ?

What happens if we change the ebay account name to our real name but leave the stealth address when we opt in for managed payments. Will it be OK ?

I know it's all speculation at this point but I feel quite worried knowing I will be working hard on my stealth accounts to only end up losing it next year.

No way to know until it actually starts getting implemented.
Im sure ways will be found around everything. That's how it always goes.

When is this sopposed to come in? I would like to know how much time I have to make as much money as I can before this comes in.

As James said, there is no way to know before it comes.

However you can always change the name or adress in the ebayaccount (not recomended but if you have no other choise it is an option)

I'm hoping when the time comes changing my name and address to a variation that is good enough to by pass the ebay bots.

But when I send in my ID for managed payments Ayden staff, they pass the genuine ID I have as the address is similar to the variant on my ebay account ? lol ... Does that make sense ?

would Ebay allow you changing your Name?
I know you cant do that with Paypal,if you are married or divorced,you would need to show paperwork?

Used to be easy to change the name on eBay uk. They took the option away to do that though a while ago

I expect it would have to be done via chat or the phone now

Are you sure, I just changed the first name today on a ebay "buying" account that i'm not using to sell anything on. And it changed fine.

May well have changed back again then - or it maybe that it works on buyers accounts and not sellers accounts. It been a few months since I last tried

Just amended the last name on my business account under the Owners Name tab and it worked perfectly fine.

It works.

Last time I tried I couldn’t change it could only change the business name. Not the actual name username of the account

EbAY CARES less what your first and last name are,but Paypal and Ayden should care,how is it going to send your 1099K to IRS ?

Does it not say on the information that with managed payments you can still use PayPal?

So looks like ebay are now sending out more emails urging business sellers to sign up / show interest.
