Thanks for sharing - was any of the information on the driving license real ie. the driving license number?

I'm trying to understand if they run it through a database check it's "real" or not.

They can not verify your drivers license without your permission.

Firstly anyone messaging me privately I can’t reply as I don’t have enough posts.

In terms of name. Mine was straight forward as i removed my surname and used middle name as surname. Driving license number and signature to match.

Never had a message for bank account info as only the surname is not provided to eBay. The bank might be happy with first and middle name.

Yes bank statement was provided with the name provided to them. Just surname removed

So your stealth details was your real first and middle name instead of your surname? and you used your real driving licence?

Yes at the name. But driving license and bank statement had to show just first name and middle name( as surname)

It's a legit account then @Buzz_UK it's not a stealth account.

You basically did what i've done. Submitted real details albit with slightly modified information that are STILL real.

We need to hear whether someone can get verified with completely phantom details or not.

Its already been reported a few times that fully stealth accounts still work. The only remaining question is what will happen with refunds when there isnt enough money in the MP pot for them

Can we opt to not accept payments via MP and just PayPal or is that not a option ?

No you cannot opt out from managed payment and use PayPal.

As soon as anyone says that they have gotten passed the MP checks on you start demanding proof. No one owes you proof. Maybe go through the process once yourself and then come back and comment on if it does or doesn't work.

At the moment the state is....

Stealth still works fine so far - the only thing that is left to find out is if the refunds will become an issue if eBay are forced to dip into a bank account (and that is a big if). It would not surprise me if some sort of rolling reserve was introduced at least initially on newer accounts using MP. eBay after all hold funds for up to 21 days on payments going into PayPal accounts so it would be a strange move for them to no longer hold funds at all.

Current fully stealth accounts are being enrolled onto MP. I have yet to be told of anyone that has got a stealth account and has applied being rejected. That doesn't mean it wont have happened or wont happen in the future, its certainly possible, but so far MP is proving easier than PP. Just to beat you to it Pathos this is nothing to do with vested interests. This is just what is happening at the moment. It may well change as if it does you can bet there will be a lot of threads and posts RE accounts being rejected for MP. Bad news gets reported a lot more than good news.
