They are checking your ebay name matches your bank account name. Obviously the name on your bank account is your real name therefore your ebay name will need to be your real name.

They are checking that the person exists..you will send your passport in or your driving licence, and the codes on it will be checked against a database on a service that provides this...

Combined with the bank account check, and then the new requirement for matching names, thats a pretty fullproof system.

Theres no assurances in this, however, read the information on Ayden, their terms and conditions, and in fact PayPal, in their terms and conditions, its all stated pretty much. PayPal even list the company they use for this service.

Regarding the database they check, can they see your real address? Because my real address will not match my ebay one (original address is banned).

Not if you use a Passport as your ID document as there is no address on a PP. I think, if you are to use your Driving Licence, you may need the address to match. Thats just educated speculation though.

That should be fine, i thought companies like Adyen could check a certain code on your passport to see your place of residence lol. Just my paranoia

I have managed to change a few names on my stealth's so its definitely possible.

While this is true, and it requires a full on manual review with PayPal to use said verification systems, hence when it does happen, accounts go down, but not every account gets that level of personal treatment.

However, is that the same with Amazon, who use similar processing as Ayden? Because I've not noticed any Amazon Ghost accounts being up for sale in the past couple of years.

I lean on the side of caution.
