Whatever, you telling me I’m wrong does mean anything. It just your guess versus mine.
I still don’t believe that true debit-less savings accounts will be accepted onto MP.
I guess those who try and use them will report back in time.
|
And I'm not saying it will work either.
All I've said is that I know of a few instances where savings accounts (that do not support the DD mandate) and also other accounts with no dd mandate have been added to managed payments. Both the associated ID and bank statement were approved.
Yes, the dd mandate will definitely be rejected but whether that results in the bank account being removed is what we will need to wait for. |

May they get removed? Yep they may well do, but right now they add without a problem.
You believing it or it not makes little difference to what is actually happening. | And that's all I was saying....... |
| frustr8ed | 07-08-2020 09:57 AM | Re: eBay UK - Managed Payments ? How will we stealth ? A lot more info available now. For those that are accepted you can access a PDF guide on the "Payments" tab. For refunds it says:
• Your Available funds may change if we process any additional orders or refunds before your next payout.
• If you refund a buyer, and you don’t have enough to cover the full amount from your Available or Pending funds, we will charge your payout
current account or automatic payment method to cover the remaining amount.
• These refund payments will appear as a new line item in your transaction report as a transfer, next to the corresponding order. |

or automatic payment method, depending on your preference, to cover the remaining amount. " | So ..... it may be possible to use a saver and have a card as payment preference - is that a fair interpretation? (I stress MAY) |

Do you make many sales there? I've never even visited the site. |
| donkeykong2012 | 07-08-2020 10:36 AM | Re: eBay UK - Managed Payments ? How will we stealth ? "Automatic Payment Method"
My first thought was Paypal as in the automatic payment method for paying Fees.
Bare in mind if that EBay force a INAD refund they often recover funds through Paypal even now.
Just a thought. |

It's a good site for what I sell. But ebay is better. And having multiple streams of income is always better than one. |
| chimera | 07-08-2020 11:06 AM | Re: eBay UK - Managed Payments ? How will we stealth ? DD payments are BACs so take a few days. It makes so much sense that they would prefer a card be linked. Funds can be pulled from the card instantly. It better protects them. |

That works best for eBay also if you think about it
Again just my opinion from the above quote
Good luck to all, see you all the 15th when the fireworks really go off :D |

No need for opinions on this one, you cannot leave a balance in the manner you suggest. | As I understand it the whole balance gets transferred - weekly or daily |

"This is your last reminder to register for managed payments.
Remember, your account is scheduled to be enabled in late July - please register by July 15 for eBay to manage your payments. If you miss the registration deadline, starting from 27/07/2020, we will start to restrict your ability to create new listings.
Register now in three simple steps:
1. Verify your information
2. Provide a bank account - either existing or new
3. Keep selling as normal"
To my understanding, you need to be registered by the 15th to receive your payout by the 27th. |

| aniseed | 07-15-2020 06:41 AM | Re: eBay UK - Managed Payments ? How will we stealth ? Often when a dd fails, they give the response along the lines of "this may be because of a lack of funds..." so if you have a mismatched name or savings account, it may be that it works and ebay just assumes you had no funds which caused it to bounce. Not sure where that will leave the account. On the other hand I had a direct debit actually come through from paypal once despite a name mismatch. The bank never used to really check.
Or maybe not and we're all doomed. |

| kingpot12 | 07-17-2020 11:46 AM | Re: eBay UK - Managed Payments ? How will we stealth ? Just in relation to being accepted onto MP (not bank mismatches)
If people are truthfully tweaking their stealth Accounts to match their real ID details.
Adyen are a) associating this stealth account to the one real person, (YOU) by a soft credit check, and therefore further accounts in that name, using the same ID, must be compromised...
or b) They are NOT correctly identifying people, from a known database, but deem the tweaked ID's and bank statement as sufficient and that the person must be real.
If my logic is unsound, I'd like to know more... |
| digzz | 07-19-2020 01:12 PM | Re: eBay UK - Managed Payments ? How will we stealth ? Can we get a total on here of how many have been approved using stealth details and how many have failed. I feel like this would give us a bigger picture on how things are going. |
| chimera | 07-19-2020 01:51 PM | Re: eBay UK - Managed Payments ? How will we stealth ? I have seen comments on an ebay seller facebook page stating some people who have signed up have now noticed that ebay have set up a direct debit on their bank account.

I don’t see that being a much of an issue I’ve mismatched names on direct debits in the past and had no issues the bank account was debited without any concerns. |
