The only way Ebay could ever revert back to keeping PayPal as a seller option is to make a new long term operating agreement with them, something PayPal would never agree to as PayPal is thrilled with getting rid of Ebay.

Do you have a source for that?

I cannot see why PayPal would be happy about loosing such a large revenue

5.10 Under the CoP process, a payer will need to know a payee’s name and how to spell it.
Pay.UK’s rules and standards specify that, in the case of a close match, the actual name
associated with the proposed payee’s account will be returned to the payer. We
consider this an appropriate way to deal with close matches. This may also mitigate the
difficulty raised by the respondent. We encourage PSPs to ensure their approach to
identifying close matches accounts for this issue.

I wonder if leaving the stealth name as eBay registered name and putting the bussiness name as your real name and bank name, along the lines of:

John Smith
J. Smith
Smith John
etc

:noidea:

What credit card information will be used for these stealth eBay accounts? I can’t figure that part out just keep thinking about it.

We’ll just wait and see if the banks don’t allow mismatched names

I doubt it seems like hot air to me

Until someone in the UK, signs up, uses a mismatched name, no one will be able to know for sure.

However from the documentation that has been issued, from eBay, the banks etc, it is 99% likely mismatched names will cause a problem.

How eBay manages that will remain to be seen, but it is highely likely it will flag document request and a ban, or a 'change your bank account to the name on the account'.

The only saving grace I can see is that you can change the name on an eBay UK Business Account to match the bank account. I just hope this does not dissapear.

If it dose you can get around it by making a business bank account in same business name as your eBay account .. that’s if adyen only want a bank statement to check, if they want photo id then your screwed.

As for USA MP delays, it's because Ebay is inept, disorganized, and has no clue on how business works. It's been this way for many years, and I just don't see it getting better.
