Latest MP Email - 15th July, if you dont, no more new listings

The latest from eBay regarding MP

Seems, they are now stating that if we do not register by the 15th, those that have been opted in by eBay (opted is in when you receive the emails and get the MP section in your sellerhub) wont be able to create new listings.

It dosen't say I will be getting turned off on the 15th if I dont register, just no new listings. Which is kinda fine by me as I havent made any new ones for years, and dont plan on investing in new lines until this MP situation has a fix.

I do make a new a new auction each day, but i would happily take this right now.

No, thats a US based thread. This is UK. Best to keep them seperate to avoid confusion of the platforms.

No, I like new threads, easier to search for.

Might be worth making a shed load of listings and put quantity as 0, cant be bought but are active, you can then 'fill in' if you need new listings. Could work!

I got this email too, to 1 account, though i'm sure the rest will get it. Is this for business or personal accounts? I cant remember which that particular account is,

Yes UK too

Mine are all business. I don't think personal accounts will be hit with them for a long while yet.

Maybe I'll create a few more 0 quantity listings. I don't list many items so its not that bad yet.. unless they force us to sign up if we want to continue to sell...

I think you guys are bit naive on this final warning?
Remember if you don't pay the fees on time? they put your account under"hold".
I won't renew any expired listing.they ll all getting down.I rather bet it would be something like that.

I just checked then lots of not happy. I saw some are closing there Ebay shops.

I found something interesting on there and it's terrible if true.

The new MP will include VAT. So we will be paying VAT even if we are not VAT registered.

No.

We are all in the same boat, and all have various methods of attempting to get round it, but its looking very certain that stealth details wont work.

When we see the results of the Stealth ID submissions some of the lads are trying on their accounts that didnt pass verification, we will know for sure.

Just in conjunction with that, so as few people are caught out as possible. Ebay are restricting (full stop), some items being listed that have now switched to managed payments. As the 'credit card payments system' wont allow the undue risk.

I spoke to a rep this morning, i have not been asked to switch to managed payments YET, as im whitelisted, because two goods i sell are on this list: but as of now they are:
Restricted items:
Adult only items, including sexual wellness and adult clothing
Alcohol, beer, spirits, and wine
Bullion
Coins, paper money, and virtual currency
Downloadable products and virtual items
E-cigarettes, tobacco pipes, vaporizers, and other smoking accessories
Gift cards, coupons, and vouchers
Inhalers and nebulizers
Lodging, timeshares, vacation packages, and car rentals
Motor vehicles
Real estate
Services
Smoking cessation products including nicotine patches and gum
Tickets for travel, events or experiences
Weight loss supplements, sports supplements, appetite control suppressants, and sleeping pills

So inevitably you might have to modify what you buy for resale.
