Hi, Received below email from ebay today. Looks like ebay patience is over!

Register for managed payments

The simpler way to do business on eBay is here.

You have previously missed the deadline to register for managed payments and your ability to create new listings has since been disabled. In addition, if you do not register by 26 October, your ability to relist and revise listings on eBay will be disabled as well.

You are required to register for managed payments. In order to continue listing new items, relisting, and revising listings on eBay, you must register here by 26 October.

Take these simple steps to register:

1. Verify your information
2. Provide a bank account. You can use an existing account, or open a new one.
3. Keep selling as normal

I think we can get another month or two after 26 Oct. If we enrol for MP and submit some made up details to ebay. Ebay will give us activation date of may be sometime end Nov or Dec and we can keep on selling as normal and we can end listing a day before activation date. Is this going to work? We will just enrol for MP with made up details to gain extra 1-1.5 month.

Be careful people - think twice and act once - this is doable but you must get it right first time

Bank account? - doable
ID? - you know what you need to do

I just cannot see a way around matching the docs to a legit bank acc.

The issue appears to be after you have submitted these documents and had then approved that ebay then does a soft credit check on the name and address..a month or so down the line if when they find no history of the person at that address you are then removed from MP.
I have not switched to MP yet but this is my understanding from reading these boards
Can anyone comment on this?

I got that message too. But the restrictions have already begun, my listings that are gtc have not renewed and I cannot manually renew them. If I try I get an error message pointing me to the sign up page for MP.

From what I have read it seems that there are conflicting ideas about soft credit checks. There is another thread somewhere that says that they do the credit check, but another user in the thread said this was nonsense and that they never received the check.

Either way, surely we have no option apart from being "creative" and just going for it.

I plan to wait til all or nearly all of my listings on this act are dead and then I shall submit my artwork.

I shall report back when I have done it.

Not so easy.
They do kind of a credit score check.

1- You submit the docs and they accept.
2- they sau you are ready and in the list.
3- they tell you you will start in day X.
4- then when the day comes MP never start.
5- Later you get the account suspended.

This is the flow i've got on my side, and i've seen the same in other people.
On my side i know the ID card is good. So its not about doc quality.

At number 5 we don't even get an email from ebay.. silent suspend.

Exactly the same process I was having in Sep.

I submitted another 5 accounts last week. Now all in step 1. No further email yet.

Account suspended (in a way you can't use it again). No email received. No MCxxx
Just eBay message.

Also my docs have 100% sucess with paypal.
They have perfect checksum.
All details are perfect.

im sure it's not about the docs.

Does anyone know, When the 26th deadline comes in, i know the we cannot revise or relist, what about the listings that's already live and selling. Do they get removed or continue to sell until all sold. Will we able to take money out of Paypal to our bank accounts after that date?

Active listings will keep alive until all sold out I think.

It does not matter with PayPal. You can do all things in PayPal as usual.

1. Someone is saying in other thread that eBay is able to check the authentication of ID photo. I am not sure.

2. All my creative docs uploaded were passports (with mrz double checked). I have not tried other IDs.

3. All failed.
