Actually, they do not accept online banks at all.
I have still active accounts with online banks, but who knows when they will stop. |
| e2free | 10-21-2021 07:31 AM | Re: Ebay do not accept online banks? Yes big cleanup, I have one stil running with wise but rest they asking to update to high Street,
My biggest concern is now since name will not match and chances are they close permanently when review the account
Anyone tried to add high Street bank while account is restricted? |

| murdered_by_ebay | 10-21-2021 09:33 AM | Re: Ebay do not accept online banks? revolut is actually an accepted bank on ebay uk with the trustly login option
if revolut is banned it might apply to the EU account in Latvia , in general I do not recommend to use EU MP with bank accounts not in the same EU country as this is likely to lead to restrictions later as most shady EU ebay accounts use bank accounts in a different EU country |
| phaz0rz | 10-21-2021 09:33 AM | Re: Ebay do not accept online banks? eBay is making record profits since introducing MP. They have never done better. The "eBay is shooting themselves in the foot with MP" claims on here are nonsense. Those of you turning and burning accounts from random countries were liabilities, not profitable customers. :noidea: |

Them maintaining these record profits however is another story |

Ebay will get stronger and stronger and earnings and growth will continue to rise, and here are just a few of the reasons I can think of;
The purge of undesirable sellers will only give consumers more confidence to buy from Ebay. More confidence = More sales = More profits
Consumers no longer need PayPal to buy on Ebay. They now use Google pay, apple pay, credit cards, debit cards, gift cards, ACH payments and more, including PayPal (for the oldtimers still shopping on Ebay) Today's youth (Ebay's future customers) are familiar with all of the payment platforms and use them elsewhere. New customers = more sales = more profits
Fewer sellers means less competition which means consumers pay higher prices. Since fees are based on total sales, higher prices = higher fees = higher profits.
More and more consumers are buying more and more products on-line every year. The percentages are increasing year after year. This leads to more sales = more profits each and every year.
Ebay is getting creative with additional promotional listing offerings, and using this technology to increase it's fees for those who use them. Increased fees = increased profits.
I'm sure that there's even more reasons, perhaps others can chime in. |

Isn't it funny how we get people on here pissed of at ebay and somehow it justifies their thought process of how the company is about to go bust.
While they're doing BETTER THAN EVER. |

I also want to use an eBay UK account, but I don’t have a UK physical bank card. |
| murdered_by_ebay | 10-27-2021 06:07 PM | Re: Ebay do not accept online banks? that is exactly the reason why this is happening , they want to see people use banks with a banking licence as EMI's tend to accept everybody and this is where most fraud comes from
and indeed here in the UK regular banks do credit and identification checks and do not even accept all local residents. non residents are basically forbidden from opening accounts with local banks after brexit , they have been closing down thousands of accounts of people who were ok to deal with before brexit |

Says who? Their quarter reports? Thats called manipulation, and companies do it every day.
Ill bet my left nut that eBay is HURTING from MP, remember that debt/money owed (invoices) can be borrowed against (stock market/equity). Just like they can let seller account slide with things, they can do the same thing with the funds.
eBay doesnt meet there quota, they borrow more to pay the invoice causing the financial numbers to improve, thus driving up the value of the company. |

No they really are making record profits from promoted listings and all the extra money they're getting from processing payments. Your comment is the stealth community grasping at straws trying to stay relevant. |
