Change Name On Ebay Account Which Has Already on Managed Payments
 

I've got a few Managed Payment Ebay accounts which went through in the first batch of accounts migrated. They are in stealth details. What is the likely result if I was to change these to my legit details.

When migrating other accounts to Managed Payments I've changed the stealth details to my legit details no issue.

Anyone done this?

i've only added the mp part in legit details and kept eb in stealth details.

if you have stealth details that have already passed, i wouldnt work on changing them to legit details - but that's my own opinion

what is oecd?

ETSY ,to comply with money laundering policy,asks Etsy seller to link bank account in same name as the name one registered with its ETsy shop.
If you shop name is Jimmy,but you are John Smith,then your bank account name should be John Smith.
Nothing is said about verifying SSN

It works initially as Adyen does not bother to check what your Ebay /Paypal details are .

IF YOU want to change your MP name,etc to your real name and other ,how does it know your account is not being hacked?
are you keeping the same bank account .
and how is MP going to deal with your tax records?

but how does one explain name change??and/or birthdate/sex/?

it is likely SSN is automatically verified , there are companies that do mass verifications of SSN so it is not a big deal

I've seen people doing this with no issues as well.

Me I'm still running stealth names, never changed anything on my grandfathered accounts.

and say what? I've got a stealth account using a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ ID and ducuments, and I'd like to change it to my real details? Can see that going well.

for US accounts it should not be done after $4000+ turnover have been made , if turnover was very low , below $1000 it should be safe to do

of course all this under the condition that no ID had been uploaded

I'm guessing nobody actually knows, because only a few of us got our stealth accounts through on the first round of accounts migrated to Managed Payments.

I have not bothered to change info on accounts that got migrated under stealth info for me on MP.

Closest was on 2 accounts, bank accounts were closed (due to my choice of banks) so when I popped in new bank accounts...I kept the stealth info and they came on no problem...

I changed some accounts in real name they went all in verification after few hours change , i think if provide all there should not be issues

We spoke on the other thread but yes I have done this plenty of times. If you change your real details to stealth your be hit with ID request and will have to get creative.

If you change from stealth to your own account your account will be verified.

You can do this 2/3 times before eBay block you from editing your date of birth.

You can do it anytime but spacing it out a bit is always the best thing to do :)

James, I value your opinion. So you can change the details of a business stealth account that has gone through Managed Payment back to real details no issue? So I've had some stealth accounts about three years which have gone through Managed Payments, so I should be able to change them no issue to my real details?

Yep can do

Make in stealth details wait for it to build up then change to real details

So long as you haven't got debt with ebay or selling fa kes never had issues doing that

You can even use the same real details a few times over. So far without issue. Just have to not do everything too fast

I just tried this, and it asked me to provide a copy of my ID. This was changing it to my real details.

Wait I’m a bit lost. Did you change stealth details to your own personal info? So your date of birth, your address you live at?

If you did this then you should not of been asked for ID unless you changed it over when eBay asked for proof of ID? If you did it on your own behalf without being asked to you shouldn’t be asked for ID only if it’s your real info to stealth is where you will be asked for ID

I changed from stealth info to my own info. It asked for ID. It failed the ID on my driving licence, but passed on my Passport.

Gonna leave it a month and try and change another one.

Yeah for some reason I’ve been told they don’t pass driving licenses but passports are fine.

Good to hear you changed it over :) I’m trying the opposite uploading stealth ID to MC011 never done this before. Hope it works.

It can still ask for ID

Was the address the real address or a stealth address?

Doing this doesnt usually then trigger the ID - but glad to hear it passed with the passport :)

Yeah it’s never triggered the ID for me only if I’ve gone the other way real to stealth it does :)
