PayPal Limitations Losing Power

I've noticed this for a while now but only just thought to post it.

Have you noticed that paypal limitations can no longer deal with things like verifying docs..etc when you call in and now need to pass everything on to their back office for approval?

Couldn't agree with you less, I've experienced similar situations on several accounts. In addition docs are also taking a lot longer than usual to verify and are also failing quicker...

It does seem that PP has tightened things up recently. Its not surprising and is to be expected. Every year (at least once a year) Ebay/PP tighten things up and change things, which means we have to figure out what the workaround is. Sometimes its a big deal and sometimes it is not. Ive noticed that it seems to happen in the summertime (usually around the end of summer), before the big selling season starts. In this case it seems that PP is now actually running the numbers submitted on docs (like your license number, passport# etc) to actually verify the identity.
Also Amazon will probably be doing there security update soon. And there is no reason to think that ebay/PP is finished for the year (hopefully they are) but we could see some more changes soon, stay tuned....

Do you mean you couldn't agree with me
MORE...lol

I know paypal are being a bit more thorough with their checks but what I mean is that the limitations department seem to be more
limited...lol

For example there was a time when you could call up when your account was limited and the person you spoke to would have the power to remove almost any limitation on your account, now the person you speak to I more of a middle man and has to pass any information or requests over to their back office for authorisation.

The last time I called in, the rep on the actual phone submitted it for review by another team if that is what you're referring to. Before the rep on the phone would right then and there review the documents and give them the go, times have changed/changing indeed.
