What are the type of ID and address proof you have provided to PayPal?
Are you also trying to add a new bank account to withdraw the funds?

bank acc is attached, they wont accept council tax bill passport driving licence all obviously stealth

spoke with them again, theyll accept birth certificate occompanied with official gov letter

If you have all the documents in place. They will release non doubt.

But you still haven't answered one of my question. Is it a new bank account that you are trying to get funds to? Or the same that was linked at the time of opening paypal?

Not entirely true. They can hold funds indefinitely, beyond the 180 day period, if they have reason to do so.

This pretty much proves my last post, about how they can hold the funds for as long as they deem fit.

@paypalpains - if you need help, you're better of starting your own thread. That way others can read up on what your issue is rather than confusing it with the OPs issue.

My very first PP account back around 2000, they ended up sending it to my state as unclaimed money. And it was up to me to persue it at that point. I had forgot all about it!

If you feel you have options at your disposal to recover the funds, of course try recover it.

But if you've exhausted all possible avenues, then it may be better to move on.

I don’t think any EU law would allow a company to hold sn individual’s money indefinetly. Maybe he should take pp to court.

I dont think any EU law allows it, but I sure know many who are in that predicament. More so with Amazon, than PayPal.

I'd imagine they'd scrutinise every aspect of your account before publishing a story like this to millions. Otherwise PayPal will come back and sue the press company if they say anything derogatory that doesn't end up being true.

No they won’t.

I have been in the same situation. I recently got a CCJ against paypal..

I just wait for the CCJ to arrive as a document and then, they are screwed.

I will teach PP a good lesson by going to press or sending HCEO to their office.

Previous 5 didnt have any problem with id and proof but this 2 its a nightmare..
they were holding my funds fr more than 200 days.
I tried to chat with them via twitter and paypal message forum.
I sent them driving licence proof of address. They did not accept them and wanted new id .. i sent them passport and utilitz bill they still did not accept.
One woman sent me this reply.
What does it mean?
I have 4k there please help.

This means you need to upload documents like passport/DVLA or Birth certificate
Keep trying in spare time you might get lucky to speak with Saint at paypal

No point keep sending in more stealth docs after they have rejected the first ones. Only genuine docs will get money released as they do verify or check docs somehow if first ones fail. I know because I've been in same situation.
