Exclamation How Much Do You Withdraw On New Accounts ??

This is more out of interest really.

There always seems to be mixed views on how much you should withdraw on new accounts in one go without getting limited or it getting reversed.

Some say to withdraw everything that's in the account and just leave enough to pay fees, while others say if you withdraw too much in one go it will be flagged as suspicious and paypal will want to part ways.

My funds usually come in stages so i never really have a problem with large amount being in my accounts.

So what would you guys consider a large amount to withdraw from anew account in one go?

Also do you think you would have a better chance if you had already had a limitation removed on the account as you would have already jumped through the hoops?

What are your thoughts

Your question ties in with how much you should sell to begin with.

Just as nobody (sane) would advise you to sell £1k within first few days, nobody (sane) would advise you to withdraw £1k (minus fees etc.) too quick.

If you sell safe amounts to begin with, i.e.
Month 1 - £500 (spread over the course of the month)
Month 2 - £1,000 (spread over the course of the month)
Month 3 - £1,500 (spread over the course of the month)
etc.

that should help give you a guideline on how much to withdraw.

My first ever withdrawal, I would never exceed £50.
Then stick to weekly withdrawals, leaving enough money behind for chargebacks/fees.

Example, you sell £100 week 1, i'd withdraw no more than £50.
Then week 2 if you sell £200, i'd withdraw no more than £150 etc.

More importantly, avoid ever withdrawing more than £500 at any given time. It just raises red flags. If you need to, spread those withdrawals out, and make sure they "complete" before opening another withdrawal request.

P.S. Whilst there aren't actually exact figures that are deemed safe or risky, the figures I've shared above are what I consider safe, and what have worked out for me.

I leave 4-5x the average sale price in pp at all times (mind you I don't have 4 digit sales in quite some time now)

What are your thoughts on it being safer if you've already recovered from a limitation?

Thoughts are that the account is always at risk - never think for a moment that a recovery from limitation protects you from further limitation. I have seen multiple limitations on accounts won and they keep coming here and there

So I thought I would do a little experiment.....lol

I had a fresh account that has had all the doc submitted
on...etc

I sold something for a larger amount and withdrew the money in one go.

Usually after submitting the withdrawal I'm taken straight to the account summery page that then says that it's complete or pending (and says how long for).

But this time after clicking the withdraw button there was a pop-up say this transaction is now under review and they will email me in 72 hours to let me know the outcome.

On the my summery page it just says that it's pending for 72 hours and so does the email they send out.

Is this pop-up a new thing ?

Any risky withdrawals (or first time withdrawals) are usually subject to a 72 hour waiting period.

Yes the 72 hour withdrawal's are completely normal (if you haven't taken all the appropriate steps) but I've never seen this pop-up before.

As I said before, usually you enter the amount you would like to withdraw then it goes to a confirmation page saying it could take 0-3 days then you click the withdraw button and your taken back to the summery page and the withdrawal is pending and if you click on it it says it will take 72 hours.

What I'm saying happened was I got to the confirmation page but when I clicked the withdraw button a white pop-up showed up saying that this transaction will be under review and that I will receive an email from them in 72 hours when the review is complete.

Has anyone ever seen this pop-up before?

I have had it recently on a few accounts. The withdrawals went through with no issues.

Ok thanks

I like doing these little experiments every so often to see what it throws up and this is something I've never seen before.

When you got the pop-up was it with a large withdrawal on a new account?

Larger withdrawal that usual. Usually £50-100, this one was £250.

Fairly new account, taken around 15 payments but is 9 months old.
