Don't know what "Transfers like this" is supposed to mean

Also, the withdrawal is showing as completed, yet there's no usual email saying it's on the way to my bank

The weekend interfers with the timing.

Find out what time your bank cuts offer transfer times during the week.

As an example i never transfer funds to any of my RBA accounts after 16:00hrs (4.:00pm) Friday. By doing that I can usually get the funds Monday/
Banks and paypal sux.

Sounds like it’s transferring under the old transfer system, not the faster payment system

The thing is that I have used Uaccount for other accounts and never had this. And the transfer is showing as completed but there's no email to say it's on its way

Sometimes PayPal just uses the old transfer system

Happens now and then. Has done for a few years.

It tends to only last a few days most the time

I'n guessing it's because it's a new account and Paypal want to hold on to the money as long as possible before they release

Nothing to do with a it being a new account, its appeared on one of my long timers under Santander. Annoying and unnerving.. But yes possibly just anothe way to increase profit on PayPals front by holding the funds longer - banks do this all the time, so unsurprising that PayPal will also.

Havent had any actual issues with the money not appearing though.

I have the same message as the OP.

Previously withdrawals appeared in my bank within seconds (faster payments).

My first withdrawal last Tuesday appeared in my bank 3 days later.

Made a second withdrawal and it's still not in my bank.

I noticed this just after the bank holiday weekend.

It seems PayPal withdrawals are not using faster payments in the past week.

Also, it's nothing to do with a new account. My account is over a decade old and I still experience this withdrawal delay in the past week.

Any ideas what could be going on? It's so inconvenient having to wait days for funds to appear.

I made a withdrawal on the 4th, 5 days ago and haven't received that one either, supposed to have received it earlier today, although it's showing as completed in Paypal

Strange things going on with the account, it took me a while to actually sign in , and when I did my balance wasn't showing

My 2nd withdrawal appeared in my bank today.

It went from pending to completed in Paypal quickly in less than 30 minutes but the actual process of appearing in my bank is the date stated in the email as in OP.

"...so you should see the money in your bank account by <date>".

Anyone know why the money is taking longer to appear this time?

Is there a faster payments issues in the UK?

I want to make another withdrawal but does anyone know how to make PayPal use faster payments? It seems they are using the old bank transfer method. I also notice the new withdrawal page.

It says "Bank credit PAYPAL TRANSFER" in my bank whereas before it says "Bank credit PayPal".

My account is over 10 years old.

I got my first payment too, no emails or anything though. Very odd

I thought that it was related to the fact that my account is new, but if you have been having the same issue with a 10yr old account, then I don't know

It seems people are complaining about delayed bank withdrawals lately:

http://downdetector.com/status/paypal

I am not going to withdraw until someone can confirm faster payments is working again in the UK.

I have 3 stealth accounts, 2 purchased on here. One is 3 months old and the other is just under 3 months old. On both it has always taken 3 days to transfer funds to the bank.

The third account I created myself and funds have always transferred immediately to my bank.

Good news, paypal withdrawals are appearing instantly in my bank now. I also see the previous withdrawal page.

Probably was a backlog with paypal/banks after bank holiday.

Anyone else notice instant withdrawals lately?
