Linking a new replacement CC between paypal accounts
 

Hi All

A quick question:

I can’t remember if I have already linked a specific Credit Card to one of my old paypal 'Buyer Only' accounts that are no longer used. I want to avoid using this same CC again in a brand new 'Buyer Only' paypal account if it’s already been linked in one of my old paypal accounts.

If I report this specific Credit Card as (Lost) and they send me a new replacement Credit Card – with a new 16 digit card number and new 3 digit verification number, can I then safely link this new replacement CC to a new paypal account?

Would paypal see this new replacement CC in the same way as a ‘brand new’ card or are there other ways paypal uses to check if a CC has already been used before on another paypal account?

Totally fine to do the number on the card would be new so the card would essentially be brand new
