PayPal not releasing my funds after 180 days

Hey everyone,

I know there’s a lot of threads about this topic but I feel they ain’t conclusive enough

So I, like many of you guys have had my PayPal suspended - it’s been 180 days I called was told the Document I submitted was not valid

Was told to submit more documents (this is a stealth account)

I did so

They have also been rejected, I’ve just been hearing a bunch of false promises and lies from PayPal but when is the time to call it quites

I’ve got about £500 in this account and another account this week releasing £1000

But should I abandon this £500 account as PayPal are impossible - I’ve called and been nice they said one of there lies “money will be released in a few days”

Then after that “need different documents”

Etc etc

My question is, when is it times to give up - I’ve got more accounts getting built but when is it time to give up the hope PayPal will release those funds

It’s only £500, so it’s not the largest amount - but when’s the time for me to delete the account and say bye

I’ve talked to about 12 PayPal employees and about 6 supervisor’s mentioned getting lawyers involved taking this to small claims court but they just make a new excuse every day

There is ways to get this back. Sending in written letters in the name of the stealth account, with the threat of legal action will do the trick.

500 can be big for some ppl - all relative :(

PayPal just took my friends money 2k the transférés the whole balance to themselves after the customer support confirmed that the many can be withdrawn!!

Honestly with my experience, documents on PayPal 50/50 in terms of getting accepted. Sometimes you just gotta take one on the chin and move onto a new PayPal. It does usually get released closer to 5 months in my experience. It sucks but nothing you can do about it.

I'm in the same boat, I've spent hours researching on here. tinsoldier I've read allot of your posts maybe you can provide some guidance.

I have been given the 180 day email. This is not a stealth account it's my own account, everything is above board in terms of documents etc. I hit 10k and they launched the temporary suspension and now this. They say i have violated their Acceptable Use Policy but fail to tell me how so. Bit of background to my account and selling:

UK PayPal and UK ebay account since 2008
Selling on eBay.com ( used to live in US but i'm British)

Items I was selling were non medical grade face masks at reasonable prices, the most profit I ever made was $3 a mask

I know this is a touchy subject so let me just say right now that these are KN95 being sold in the US where they have been forbidden to be used by medical staff, I had them all at auction and the most profit I made on a mask was $3.

They were being distributed out of Colorado and not that I was at all price gouging but Colorado has no law against it anyway.

PayPal asked me to provide ID, tracking, suppliers invoice and proof of address. Which i did the day they asked me for it.

10 days later i got the notice. I read that allot of people successfully get their money back after 180 days but what alarms me is the use of wording in this notice which reads:
...."after 180 days, if applicable we will contact you with information on how to withdraw any money from your paypal account"

If applicable!? This is worrying. I have 10k locked in there, (yes I know silly me). I've been through the AUP and i don't see how I have violated it.

Are there any legal threats I could make to get this released sooner?
What are my chances of getting it back in 180 days?
Any other advice on how to deal with this situation.
