Default Last ditch attempt pending!

So rewind a year ago, I got 180 day’d on a pp account. Waited 6 months, they asked for ID, declined ID, sent another form, decline again. This has been going in for another 6 months, phone call after phone call. Just being told the same thing by 90% of reps (some say “sorry we’ll raise a ticket etc but nothing comes of it).

So, given that I’ve had zero luck getting the money out, I’m tempted to ‘surrender’ to them, admit i created the account in an alias and give them my genuine ID.

I can’t really think of any other way around it that may POSSIBLY get me my £

Anyone tried this?

TIA

If you admit what you did you'll never see that money again and you will lose 100%

I’ve been doing this for many years, this is the single only time I’ve had ID declined. So frustrating!

Try emailing: ppelce@paypal.co.uk

You can also try taking the case further using Resolver or Financial Ombudsman to get your money released.

Do you have your card details, same phone number you used with paypal? also when you call them so many times, ask name of support guy, when you call next time, ask for him and continue resolving your problem.

Yes I've got all that. It is useless asking for the person I dealt with last time though, they just say "sorry there are thousands of paypal employees and we are unable to connect you to that person". They are pretty horrific at reading the notes on the account too.

You are dealing with a very dodgy business party.so don't even think about surrender.that way they just legally take your money and run away.

Never surrender, ever.

When you use the info to contact by email, make sure the spelling is correct. Seem as professional as possible.

admit what you did. You are defenitly in the injustice position.
Paypal MUSTNOT release your money as long they can not verify your identity.

I had the same problem on 2 accounts. On one both of them I admited what i did. One was released after 6 month after sending my real data and the second one they keep ignoring me. I have an ongoing claim going and I will complain to the authoritys.

As long as you can proof that the account was operated by you, you can escalte the case to the paypal legal department (CRC@Paypal.com) and explain them the situation.

If they refuse to pay you the money out you can escalte the complaint to cssf.

As sidenote if someone will argue that they paid you the money out after 180 after they declined your docs then it was not a limitation because you reached 2500 EUR. If you get a restrictions where they ask trackings and they do not accept your ⊗⊗⊗⊗ id then they will still release the money after 180d as long you do not reach 2500 EUR.

After they declined your ⊗⊗⊗⊗ docs, there is absolutly no point to send them more ⊗⊗⊗⊗ docs from the same ⊗⊗⊗⊗ person.

I did the genuine ID myself once with a letter from a solicitor when I couldnt get ID to pass , worked and money got released. Taught me to never leave large sums in my PP account though.

I genuinely think if you were to do the whole honesty thing, you need legal support. the letter my brief attached to the docs was brilliant. My money was released within 4 hours of the fax going in.
