Hi, I am in the process of building another website, just wondering shall i use a seperate paypal account for website sales, rather than have 2 lots coming from ebay sales and website sales through one account?
The complete step-by-step guide to get back to selling today!
If you are doing website sales, go with a merchant processor. Don't use Paypal when you dont have to - few processors will accept both credit card AND paypal payments.

If you want to add a PayPal you can use one separate from ebay. But make sure EVERYTHING is different from ebay. Images, description, etc. Nothing between the two can touch at all.
And as others have noted, make sure you have another way to collect payment. Using PayPal on a stand alone site is just as much greif as eBay. So it will get limited. And if you dont have another way to collect money you will have to stop sales. [Been there before]
You should never add your off ebay sales to a paypal that is linked to ebay, as any clawbacks or complaints you get off ebay will count as strikes against your ebay account.
This will also be starting for those in the US november first.
If you do not want to go all out with a merchant account try the Nochex merchant account, and or google checkout.
Paypap is spreading its buyer protection off ebay so it should be interesting to see how it goes.

PayPal spent the week reminding sellers and off-eBay merchants about its new policy regarding buyer claims through an email campaign. eBay also reminded sellers that Buyer Protection cases would count as part of their performance standards beginning this month.
The clever part of this on ebays part, as they stuck their responses on the paypal story, so all the pro ebay forums will stick it directly in the paypal forum section, where no one reads it.
The first most will know is when their accounts are restricted for their off ebay sales
