Think Banking

Has anyone used Think Banking on PP and ebay?

ets 04-18-2011 06:46 AM

can be used on paypal.. It's similar to secure bank account prepaid.. once they accept direct debits then its ok to use

GrannyT 04-18-2011 07:36 AM

Thanks for that ets. Now, before I get carried away with myself, do PP compare the address when they DD?

ets 04-19-2011 03:19 AM

no they dont share personal information such as names. Only sort code and account number need to match

GrannyT 04-19-2011 05:08 AM

Has to be a runner me thinks

ets 04-19-2011 05:42 AM

all you need to do if you're operating under stealth is to use the same stealth information for both ebay and paypal. When entering the bank information on paypal ensure that the sort code and account number matches your real bank information and you're sorted. Bank and paypal don't share names as everything is done electronically.

Does anyone know what ID Think Bank require? There's no clue on their website and I wouldn't be keen on sending an original passport in the post. So do you know if a scan/photocopy of a passport is enough??

GrannyT 08-04-2011 07:29 AM

I didn't need to send anything but I am verifiable on the ER and through the credit reference agencies

rsot 08-04-2011 07:38 AM

ER = Electoral Registry

GreenBean 08-04-2011 07:40 AM

Not Emergency Room

Depends on the account opened with ThinkBanking what ID they want.

GrannyT 08-04-2011 07:41 AM

They didn't ask for any
:pop2:

GreenBean 08-04-2011 07:54 AM

Correct. It's the equation of the risk factor for them.

Enough 'points' it often happens no actual ID needs to be shown. :spy:

GrannyT 08-04-2011 07:57 AM

Under the 'know your customer' rules it seems that electronic verification is acceptable. Where this is not available they insist on docs. The fact that account details were sent to the address on the electronic file and acted on in a timely manner was enough. No good for ⊗⊗⊗⊗ name jobby though

GreenBean 08-04-2011 08:06 AM

Last sentence should not apply to an application for a bank account under any circumstances. Bad move by an applicant, daft tbf.

GrannyT 08-04-2011 01:54 PM

I Concur

pward33 08-05-2011 03:35 AM

Thanks to you both - useful. Am on ER so should be OK.

How much does Think Banking cost? I have an account with Secure Trust Bank, quite happy with the £12.50 monthly charge.

Apple on Head 08-18-2011 12:53 PM

Whoever the member "Gagi" is - no posts, no thanks, no longevity, please don't pm me asking questions about my activity .......... thank you :amen:

If you're looking for answers perhaps you could start by buying the "stealth guide" rather than asking "dodgy" questions by pm when you have no history.

ryanba 08-18-2011 12:56 PM

Think Banking is 14.50 a month, my mum is with them.

stealthmaster 08-18-2011 04:49 PM

But does "Think Banking" accept the DD mandate?

GrannyT 08-18-2011 05:00 PM

Yes . . . .
:pop2:

stealthmaster 08-18-2011 07:22 PM

Confirmed "GrannyT"? what about stealth names?

GrannyT 08-19-2011 11:57 AM

If you mean stealth names to open an account I have never done that

If you mean stealth names to download pennies (and pounds) - I have done that

:pop2:
