Activity: 0% Longevity: 79% | | how do paypal know this
We have done some checks and, unfortunately the information you have entered doesn't match the details we found for you. Please click on the Confirm your personal information link and try again.
then they fill out details for me and its a postcode i dont want to use as its been banned before............. yet it keeps reverting to this automatically even though i signed up totally differently.
If i confirm what they say, will i get limited straight off because of the postcode or can i withdraw money quickly and run

Ive confirmed bank card and address is confirmed (home) even though its my stealth details, yet on my computer it told me to fax documents or upload, then on my sisters computer that step is no longer there and i have the option of confirming information but it auto fills in my info and puts the "banned" postcode in :-s

THEY fill out postcode for you - like a mystery hand typing! you mean you fill out one set of address totally different, and it changes to your old postcode? Explain further step by step
is it because you are putting in the road that matches your old postcode but are trying to put a non matching postcode in? is that it? ie a postcode that is not for that road?

sorry if Im being dim but...
was it just doing a match of road and postcode ie you put in a road and it said no this is wrong postcode, here is correct one....(not seen this before, but might be a new thing) in which case less to worry about that can be sorted..
otherwise it is remembering you from some link eg cookies, possibly flash, doubt it, very very much doubt IP...
got a feeling there is a harmless explanation to this.....

Sounds like you put an address that didn't match postal records so paypal is trying give you one that does match postal records, right?

If it has to do with postal records then you should be fine, I've changed my address up many times on accounts that used a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ address and paypal can only see your bank # not the address registered with the bank.

So what do you suggest i do?
Go with paypals pre found details of me or should i fail the test and upload the docs / fax? where it shows my stealth details, just logged in on this computer and it tells me to fax docs etc which is weird.

you cant go with an address that has been banned if you add a different name and it has been a few years since banishment, otherwise you must use different details.
I dont get this autofill prob, just made one last week.....you are doing something wrong with mismatching that causes this, have a practice again....

its a new web browser on a different log in though?
Shall i just fax the docs off as thats what its telling me to do on this computer, then one i use all the time, it gives me no option to fill in any address, that just randomly come up on my sisters computer.
As either way, the address thing is gonna fail unless i put the correct house number but for example after it, differ as a flat, 4A if they even look at things like that?

oops I meant you CAN go with banned address after few years and diff name...
J3OEF, please search the forums for posts on address variations, poboxes and just using random addresses, bottom line, dont put in banned name and address combo....the rest is just preference and what works for you.
