Default Need to phone paypal, which phone/mobile to use?

I need to phone PP this week regarding an issue I have on one of my accounts.

I am not sure which number to phone them off, I have used both my personal and works mobile numbers to phone seperate ebay accounts in the past but this is a completely different account and i don't want them linked. I also believe that phoning using 141 (making number with held) will also not work - i remember using 141 to make prank calls when i was a kid and sometimes the person we were pranking would somehow know the number we had phoned off - so there must be a way of tracing the number from a with held call also linking.

I use SOHO66 numbers to register my accounts but my computer does not have a microphone to use a computer phone to phone from the SOHO66 number.

What do you think to do - either purchase a USB phone and use the SOHO66 number or does anybody think using 141 works?

Cheers

Can you buy a prepaid phone and use a spoofcard to match your number. That way if they figure out the real phone number on the phone you're calling from, at least they wouldn't link it to your personal and mobile numbers.

Thanks for the quick reply!

Those spoof cards look interesting - Although i cannot access their website as it is blocked by my work for some strange reason!

I could always buy a cheap sim card with a few £'s credit and phone them from that saying it is a friends mobile - Any suggestions...?!

I used my mobile and put it on private number. Call the 020 number and it'll be inclusive (or cheap if you're on Pay As You Go) of your tarrif allowance.

Interesting topic. I used my landline once or twice to call eBay. I believe that the phone number is hidden from their view. Is that correct?

Anyway, after a chat I got the account selling again.

Does anyone know if using a landline with a hidden number is OK if I need to call eBay again for a different account?

Will this work, if I just dial 141 before the number (in this case, PayPal) I want to dial?

Go to any Walmart or Kroger and pick up a $10 prepaid tracfone and a 60mns refill card. When activating the sim, you get to choose whatever zip you would like to get that area code. Not sure how it works in the UK but i would assume it should be the same.

That's what i did since i planned on keeping that sim for one of my stealth account. Used free calling apps and that never really worked out well in the long run. $ 80/year to keep that active for an account that generates thousands is well worth it.

Only drawback is having to refill it once the 3 months is up. Gotta pay to play.
