Can i use Natwest instant e-saving account to register new Paypal?

I would like to make sure if I can use Natwest instant e-saving account to register new Paypal account. Is it ok? or they don't do direct debit facility?

Bunneh 09-19-2012 11:50 AM

yes you will will receive the 2 deposits. I haven't tried withdrawing to this account though.

Imakemoney 09-19-2012 11:51 AM

The account will eventually be kicked as it doesnt accept the DD Mandate.

Callidus 09-19-2012 12:16 PM

Yes will be kicked but I would usually re add my halifax savers via the withdraw method and should work right?

sax4 09-19-2012 01:41 PM

I have multiple savers accounts all working, can't remember name.of them

Elijah 09-19-2012 05:19 PM

I opened some of these accounts and verified my PayPals successfully with them. The accounts never got removed either.

Jigsaw 09-19-2012 06:54 PM

With me, they never remove the saver accounts with returned madate anymore. They just disable bank payment options and continue to allow transferring money to that bank.

Bunneh 09-20-2012 06:23 AM

yep, havent had a problem with my savings accounts being removed after verified. Had some as long as a year so far on the accounts.

sax4 03-22-2013 03:22 AM

I have tried adding a Natwest E-Savers, the deposits haven't gone straight on to the account like they usually do, so I'm assuming it's a no go.

Natwest E-saver works fine for me. Verified an account last week using the instant method.

Yes I intend to use that method when and if I get the micro deposits

Natwest has given me issues too.

Just a delay. Then success.

Hope it works soon, sax.

Used one a week or so ago, verification deposit was instand but actual funds transfer took 72 hours but went through ok

sax4 03-22-2013 10:09 AM

Re: Can i use Natwest instant e-saving account to register new Paypal?

When you say the transfer took 72 hours, you mean your first withdrawal or the micro deposit/s?

Callidus 03-23-2013 05:55 AM

Actual transfer was 72 hours

eternity4u 03-23-2013 07:05 AM

Been using savera accounts without any issues

It's been two days and no deposits, not looking hopeful.

Sometimes it can take 3 to 5 working days. I was the same with one of my accounts but eventually it came through

Ah ok, I'm hopeful again now :)

Ebayorbust 03-23-2013 11:53 AM

Sax, from reading your post, you added the account on Thursday?

If so the micro deposits should be in your account on Tuesday (poss Monday if added early on Thursday).

Hope this helps.:yar:

Re: Can i use Natwest instant e-saving account to register new Paypal?

Thanks. I thought they went on instantly these days, so was alarmed they didn't show up

sax4 03-28-2013 01:23 AM

Re: Can i use Natwest instant e-saving account to register new Paypal?

5 working days now and hasn't arrived. I'm wondering whether it has to do with being an esaver account, or the fact that the account was dormant for a few months before I added.

Also when I applied for the e saver account it said something about sending something to my home, but the account is activate as I transferred some.money to it online.

Ebayorbust 03-28-2013 04:38 AM

Natwest e-savers definitely do work.

Could be to do with the account lying dormant as you say. Maybe a stupid question but did you put the right account number and sort code into Paypal? Might worth double checking if you haven't already.

sax4 03-28-2013 05:32 AM

Re: Can i use Natwest instant e-saving account to register new Paypal?

Pretty sure but will double check.

oooSMOKYooo 03-29-2013 07:42 AM

One other silly thing to check is if you clicked on continue on next screen as one night i was rushing and entered the act details but didn't send the mandate details.

aniseed 03-29-2013 10:28 AM

I use one of these to pay money into, but cant have a direct debit to pay out of.

If you have NatWest online banking, you can open a basic bank account online, will be active following working day, get emailed account number in a few hours, get to pick your sort code, card and pin sent through the post

Thanks guys!!!

The deposits were NOT sent, but now they are :)

I did this once before, I don't know how it happens to me!

Ebayorbust 03-29-2013 04:01 PM

Think Smokey was on the money and you hadn't submitted the dd mandate.

Good to hear it's sorted.

All those distractions around you, sax4

Was getting worried about this bank.

Just what i was thinking..
Glad you sorted now sax,
Easy mistake to do when your rushing. I built a quad core pc from scratch and couldn't figure out why it wasnt booting? Was gonna get the multi meter out but then i realised i hadnt switched the power on the plug lol

moneyhustler88 04-04-2013 03:13 PM

Heard mixed things about natwest suppose its how you use the account

Killuminati 04-04-2013 04:38 PM

Natwest is good for stealth but it is the worst bank i have ever used

Octopus Prime 08-07-2014 12:28 PM

Re: Can i use Natwest instant e-saving account to register new Paypal?

So will the account work long term or will they get kicked eventually?

Imakemoney 08-07-2014 12:35 PM

Re: Can i use Natwest instant e-saving account to register new Paypal?

No they dont get kicked at present.

sax4 08-07-2014 12:56 PM

Re: Can i use Natwest instant e-saving account to register new Paypal?

NatWest accounts have been solid for me. NatWest aren't a great bank, but Santander are worst!
