With me, they never remove the saver accounts with returned madate anymore. They just disable bank payment options and continue to allow transferring money to that bank.

I have tried adding a Natwest E-Savers, the deposits haven't gone straight on to the account like they usually do, so I'm assuming it's a no go.

Natwest E-saver works fine for me. Verified an account last week using the instant method.

Natwest has given me issues too.

Just a delay. Then success.

Hope it works soon, sax.

When you say the transfer took 72 hours, you mean your first withdrawal or the micro deposit/s?

Sax, from reading your post, you added the account on Thursday?

If so the micro deposits should be in your account on Tuesday (poss Monday if added early on Thursday).

Hope this helps.
