Default Is this bank account useless now

Hoping someone can help me and tell me is this new bank account now useless

My girlfriends old paypal account was suspended back in august with a barclays account linked to it so she set up a new bank account last week with TSB and I was going to open a new paypal stealth account over the next day or two then add her new bank account to it

Today I receives an email from paypal on the email link to the old suspended account that said

Dear xxxxxxx xxxxxxx,

You've amended your bank and Direct Debit details

You recently transferred a Direct Debit you hold with us to a new bank or building society. As per your request we've cancelled the Direct Debit Instruction on your old bank account xxxx-60xx and have added your new bank account xxxx-41xx to your PayPal account. We've now set up a new Direct Debit Instruction on this account.

Your new bank details are listed below. Please note, it will take four working days to process the Direct Debit Instruction. Until the Direct Debit is set up, you won't be able to fund any purchases using this bank account.

Your new bank details

Bank account number:xxxx-41xx
Bank/building society name: LLOYDS TSB BANK PLC
Branch location: LIVERPOOL DERBY RD 771737
Sort Code:xxxxxx

If these bank account details are incorrect, please let us know immediately.

Occasionally we may be required to disable bank funding for security reasons. In these cases we may need you go through the process of confirming your bank, so we can set up your Direct Debit for this bank. To do this, visit your PayPal account, visit Profile, click My Money, and go to Bank Accounts.

Using your old bank

You'll still be able to withdraw funds into your old bank account, but if you want to continue funding purchases from your old bank account you will need to re-submit the Direct Debit Instruction for this bank.

If you have any subscriptions or recurring payments set up with your old bank account xxxx-6076 you will need to change your primary funding source to prevent any payment delays or cancellations.

Yours sincerely,
PayPal

Basically the new bank (TSB) has transferred all the old direct debits over from the barclays account which was link to the old suspended paypal account

Is this new TSB now useless and not able to be used on paypal?

It does say in the email if this information is incorrect click here but even if I done that and said the information was incorrect would the new TSB account still end up linked to any new paypal account I set up?

Thanks everyone

In a word YES, it would be linked to the old suspended account

BTW, Lloyds are absolutely no good for stealth anyway

Yeah Lloyds are a BIG NONO for UK stealthers (search the forum before doing such an act in future, that is what its here for)

Stick with one of the following:
- Coop
- Natwest
- RBS

I would call this a blessing in disguise... you would be more frustrated at some future point when you had put so much hard work into getting this account up and running, and it suddenly became limited for no reason. So don't feel sad, be thankful.
