Question about Negative balance

Hi all, I've searched and searched for an answer to my question with no luck and have ended up here, on your forums. Hi.

Basically all i want to know is this; do paypal automatically try to withdraw funds from a linked bank account to reverse a negative balance? or do they just lock your account down until you pay them the negative balance?
